This fabulous escape is set on the ground floor of a Grade II-listed property that’s brimming with character and thoughtful details, including an array of eclectic artworks and furnishings. Step up and through the front door, and head straight into the delightful lounge, which boasts a set of sofas, a Smart TV and an open fire. It’s the ideal spot in which to snuggle up with a book or get together and indulge in a movie marathon. Another lovely space is the light-filled dining room/conservatory with its soaring roof, where everyone can gather at the rustic table for a celebratory meal or a board game, or relax on comfortable seating. Original arched windows and exposed stone walls adorn this room, which overlooks the garden. The galley-style kitchen, though relatively compact, has a luxurious feel and is equipped with everything you’ll need for creating delicious holiday meals, including a slow cooker. When you’re ready for bed, you’ll find the three handsomely decorated bedrooms on the same level (note that there are a couple of internal steps), all with Egyptian cotton linens. In one of the king-size bedrooms, there’s also a sofa bed, in case you require alternative sleeping arrangements. The bedrooms share two bathrooms: a family bathroom with an eye-catching, modern free-standing bath (with hand-held shower attachment) and a sleek wet room with a walk-in shower.
Step down into the enclosed courtyard garden at the rear and you’ll find an impressive surprise.
