"When staying at a historic inn or hotel, I want to see some history. My husband and I enjoyed reading the old news clippings and historic details on the walls. The room, furnished with antiques, was very clean; nothing was sticky and the only noticeable dust was on the TV stand. Breakfast was in a pretty dining room. They accommodated our toddler by giving her cushions to sit on, milk in a child-sized cup, and a straw."

"We travelled with a group of 5 couples and stayed in the Welty House, known for being part of the ghost tours in Gettysburg. The rooms were decorated in period furniture. There was a beautiful courtyard with tables and chairs where we were able to gather. The beds are very firm, so this made it difficult for some to sleep. "The property is a historic home over a hundred years old, the room was pleasant, very clean, with a comfortable bed and linens. Breakfast was good, but only creamer, no milk for coffee. If you are in the area you will not be disappointed at this charming B&B, but book early only four rooms are available."

"I had wonderful stay when I went for a Penn State football weekend. It was so homey and Connie and Steve were such great hosts I felt like I was staying with family. The coffee tray outside the room in the morning was a great touch, and the Crème Brûlée French toast (and perfectly crispy bacon) for breakfast was out of this world!
