The wildlife was abundant with sloths, parrots, toucans, capuchin monkeys, howlers and more. Cesar and Maribel were there for all of our needs and made us feel safe. "This beautiful house is surrounded by lush jungle and wildlife. Stunning. There is no A/C, but the house is well ventilated. Most nights were cool, only 1 was a bit hot. Wifi was reliable for the most part. This is an eco-friendly property so you cannot flush any paper products. We did not have any cleaning services during our 4 night stay. It would have been nice to have had the garbage removed and towels replaced. No laundry. The pool area is spacious and was cleaned every morning. The beach...

"We were a group of 9 people who occupied all 3 cabins. The pictures do not do it justice - the accommodations, pool, and surroundings were idyllic. Awakened to a chorus of howler monkeys, watching hummingbirds feed and the local agouti gathering natural treasures was delightful. Located a short, scenic walk to a beautiful beach, this place was paradise. The hosts were responsive and helpful when minor issues arose. Thank you so much Paola for a memorable stay."

"This was our second time staying at Villa Toucan. We love the place. It has more wildlife than anywhere else we've been in Costa Rica. Oropendolas, Macaws, Toucans, and Bat Falcons all nesting right in view of the outdoor kitchen. This place also has a large concentration of snakes, spiders, and beautiful Poison Dart Frogs. It's in your face wilderness! The house is tucked up into Manzanillo National Park with a nice walk to one of the prettiest beaches we've seen. We will return again!"

"Waking up to the sounds of the beach is amazing! Just a short walk down through their beautiful garden with a resident sloth is the black sand and warm waves. The room was quite comfortable. The bathroom could use a couple more hooks for wet items since things take a while to dry. The property managers are extremely responsive to any concerns and very welcoming!"
