The hotel is older but not in horrible shape. Nothing fancy about it. Perfect distance to go to Winterplace. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I would stay again.

I stayed here for several days at a time 12 years ago and the place still has the same paint, carpet, artwork and cushions they did then. to start the girl at the front desk was awesome and did her best to help. our first room was dirty and an accessible unit (apparently, I requested this) and we asked for a different room, the next one the HVAC didn't work, and we got moved to a third room. the shower was dirty, and the fiberglass was chipped, there were stains on the carpet and upholstery and the room was generally dirty. I told my wife not to unpack because we were not staying. we were supposed to be there for 2 nights but ended up going somewhere else. absolutely disgusting and we won't be back!

Convenient to get to Winterplace Ski Resort
This is the hotel where we most often stay when snowboarding at Winterplace. It’s convenient to the interstate for our drive to the slopes. We always bring our bathing suits to enjoy the pool yet often fail to do so being worn out from riding. It’s about a 25 minute drive to slopes and always consistent accommodations.

Very disappointing - Room was dirty and we had to pay a pet fee and I didn’t want my pet in that dirty carpet! Staff at check I. Was very customer focused but the night desk clerk was disengaged and rude. Fridge in room didn’t work and we had medicine needing refrigeration.

Cozy, reasonably priced room.
Room was nice, a bit dated but the price was reasonable. Good room to spend a night, maybe 2 in, would stay here again

The first room we were provided had hairs through the sheets, pillows and comforter as well as stains. The desk chair seat also has visible dirt on it. People were running around upstairs I. The middle of the night.

Hosts to busy on personal phone to help customers and then completely rude when did! Dirty bedding (wrinkled and fecal on the pillow case), filthy room and freshly patched white mud everywhere on the walls from holes. Can hear every conversation from other rooms and arguments from people in the hall. Immediately checked out and requested a refund and stayed somewhere else.

Not the best stay
Lady on check in seemed more interested in the guy in the back than taking care of customers. We didn’t get a suite we reserved and she didn’t tell us until we called about it. Room didn’t have a TV remote and she said she would bring it up and never came. Room floor was unswept. Toilet paper holder was broke. Nail polish all over the trash can. Room key wouldn’t work on day 2, had to go back downstairs to get it redone. There were a lot of folks getting their keys redone. Girl at the desk on day 2 was much nicer.

Old building. Not a great space. Hair dryer didn’t work in room but got one at desk. Noisy Sounded like remodeling on the floor above us. Funny smell in building. Like old smoke.

On the decline
We've stayed at this hotel regularly over the past decade. The rooms are still okay, but it is starting to feel worn. I can't put my finger on it, but I kinda feel like its moving toward slum status. Both people and facilities need an upgrade.

Front desk staff was nice. Condition of room was nowhere near the cost. Food was left in refrigerator. Door lock did not align so was not secure during the night. No towels in the room, had to ask. Rooms were still being cleaned at 6pm. The walls were so thin that i geard the ajoining room's tv and alarm clock as though they were in ny room. Save your money - fo somewhere else.

The staff was wonderful. Helpful, accomodating and fun. Only 2 complaints..we were in a handicapped room. Great for my 82 yr old Mom. The toilet moved when you sat on it. Made my Mom feel very insecure. I tried to squeeze some toilet paper under the bottom to stabilize it. My other suggestion is to put a mirror over by the blow dryer. The blow dryer is clear across the room! OR..put an outlet by the sink. Most lodging has a GFI outlet near the vanity for curling irins, shavers, blow dryers, etc. The parking was a bit of a challenge too. We need a handicapped space and there aren't many. Otherwise, we loved the beds, good selection of TV channels and very quiet.

We had an awful experience. There was no coffee made for breakfast, a post it that said “out of creamer” , nothing ever restocked for breakfast. We had 4 people and two towels, room was NOT clean and the air conditioner made a loud noise when it was running. The beds need to be replaced. Very lumpy and uncomfortable. The pool water had a yellow tint with balls of hair at the bottom of it. This place is disgusting!

Check in was confusing, not for me but for the girl at the front desk. Poor thing didn’t really have a clue what she was doin. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Our bathroom sink was cracked, towels and wash rags were dirty and smelled awful, there were pillows missing the light and tv was on like someone had just been in there. The place was very dark as you approached the parking lot. You couldn’t see the building very well. They had frozen pizzas you could warm up in the microwave for breakfast and no sugar for your coffee in the rooms or at the breakfast area. There was trash sitting out across the hall from our room and the carpet was filthy. Towels were not folded. Just thrown up on the rack. Do not stay at this hotel! We have stayed at various other Microtel Inns before but this was the worst!! Health department needs to walk through this place. BBB needs to be notified.

Check in took a while. Tried to check in at 7:30 PM. Rooms were not ready. They were a little short staffed on cleaning crew. Rooms were good once we got in them

Staff at check-in were dressed as street casual and seemed confused about my booking as if they had no reservations at all. It seemed as if I was lucky, they had a room available. Breakfast started at 6am, I was there at 610am, and all the coffee was gone, and they had one muffin and not much else.

In need of a remodeling. Very dated and therefore looks unclean. Hallways needed vacuuming and room bedding was very old. Not the worst but won’t stay here again. The first room they gave me was a handicap room that seriously looked like a prison cell. I do not recommend their handicap room if that is what you are requesting. However the waffles were great but they didn’t even have coffee made.
