The farmhouse has all new bathrooms, gorgeous en suite with jacuzzi tub, and a chefs kitchen with granite countertops, fully stocked with cookware. Picturesque, pastoral views provide a scenic getaway to relax and unwind after enjoying a concert, dining, or gambling at Foxwoods, just down the road. Inside is pretty good, outside needs work.

My a cappella group rented it for the weekend for a retreat. We had plenty of room to do all our rehearsing. The pictures are pretty accurate. The house is lovingly decorated. The two full baths are very spacious, as is the master bedroom closet. It could be converted to a bedroom with an air mattress! We also loved the scenery. Having the horses in their paddocks surrounding the house was serene. There was some confusion with the check-in because VRBO sent us an email 3 days in advance in which we expected to see instructions. Instead it said to contact the owner, but when we did, we were told that the information wasn't give out until 24 hours in advance. She gave it to us, but we felt like we bothered her. Some things that could be better include updating the kitchen with a new dishwasher, which we didn't use because it was dirty and smelly, and adding a full-size microwave. The showers also appeared to be dirty, but it was hard to tell with the color and texture of the floors. The room with two beds doesn't get much air, so be prepared to use the floor fan in the house in that room. Don't count on the sleeper sofa in the loft for use as a bed. It's not in good shape. We brought an airbed, just in case, and used that instead. The most serious issues are the entrances, which all have stone steps. The ground is very uneven and overgrown. Three of our girls fell, and one broke her foot. Another one fell on trash bags, which broke and had to be cleaned up. BE CAREFUL!!

Overall the property worked perfectly for our needs. The house itself was clean and well equipped. The 4-stars for cleanliness is the result of several serving pieces being dirty and had to be washed prior to use. This was a minor inconvenience. The lower rating for accuracy is due to others occupying the property. The house functions like a duplex. Again this was minor. The house is beautiful inside and several of the appliances were practically brand new (the lower oven didnā€™t look like it had been used yet). The host is easy to work with and very responsive. Also, the binder with the house information really was useful. The setting is amazing and serene. The horses are beautiful and fun to watch. The location is perfectly situated between both casinos.

Amazing Stay - Highly Recommend for a Foxwoods getaway

This property is picture-perfect and super close to Foxwoods. Also very close to Mystic. My friends and I went to see a show at Foxwoods and wanted to explore for a girl's getaway. We traveled from Massachusetts and NY so it was a great meeting point and the property listing is spot on. This house is so nice and super clean. Air conditioning, fans, bedding and basically stocked with anything you will need. It was a quick 5-minute Uber ride or drive back and forth from Foxwoods. We cooked breakfasts and a great dinner one evening in this beautiful kitchen and dining area and the house has so many cute spaces to sit and chat, laugh, watch tv.. whatever you need. Amazing bathrooms and showers - It was a perfect girls' getaway and I highly recommend it. This owner communicated in a timely manner and was there for any questions. #PERFECTSTAY! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! We can't wait to book another trip!

Great house for a group

Excellent house for our weekend away with friends to celebrate my husbandā€™s birthday. Close to the casinos, but set back in a neighborhood enough to feel like youā€™re in the country. Fantastic time had by all!

Great for Family Gathering Home

We stayed here for our annual family gathering ! 12 of us! Plenty of space to spread out, upstairs loft area was a comfortable spot for kids to hang out. Wonderful open kitchen space and huge table to play games and share meals! Surrounded by a beautiful horse farm and only 2 miles to Foxwoods for a fun outing!

Spacious home with amazing views

What a beautiful home! We had three moms and their daughters for a cheer competition at Foxwoods and this was the perfect place (it's less than 10 minutes away). The house is just as pictured and the landscape is amazing. In the morning, we saw peacocks and horses right outside our windows. We all loved watching the horses play. We brought food and prepared our own meals. The kitchen is well attended with everything you could need as far as pots, utensils and the basic spices which was nice. The bathrooms were beautiful too! Definitely recommend if you just want to enjoy Connecticut or have an event at Foxwoods.

Country farmhouse getaway

What a gem of a home in a beautiful country town. Surrounded by an active horse stable/farm, the whole vibe is serene, inviting and comfortable! Perfect space for teens/kids to hang out and adults to visit! Kitchen had everything to prepare any type of feast. Beds were comfortable. Everything was so clean. , Tara provided excellent communication and directions at the site for tips were clear and accessible. Beyond words

This house it absolutely gorgeous! It has everything you would need/ want. You can tell that they take great pride in their rental property. It is immaculate. The view is awesome. The horses frolic and play right outside the window. Great entertainment! Deb is friendly and helpful. She is able to tell you all about the horses. The property manager, Crystal, goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is everything you dreamed of and more. She was prompt and ready to answer any questions. A great bonus was the proximity to Foxwoods. It was perfect!! We would highly recommend this property. We canā€™t wait to go back!!!!

Great family time

This home is beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. It is way bigger than I thought it would be. Such a great time with friends and family and the house manager was incredibly nice and accommodating. I had questions about parking and she replied right away. Same thing with the homeowner. We were also able to check out later which was courtesy from the home owner. We were so grateful that they care to give us a 5star experience. It was awesome waking up to seeing the horses. I would absolutely stay here again. It was only 10 minutes from the casino. So fun!

Fantastic property for large gatherings

We had a family gathering of 10 people to celebrate our momā€™s 80th birthday. Taraā€™s home was perfect. The home had everything we could want or need and great proximity to shopping and the casinoā€™s. Highly recommend this home for rental.

Cozy and clean home. We had a great stay. Everything was as described. Itā€™s so beautiful! We loved seeing the horses and animals even if from afar. A great experience. As soon as we settled in, I wanted to book again but the dates I wanted were taken. The beds are super comfy.

Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful house and grounds.

This was by far the best property we have rented on VRBO. It was beautiful, quiet, remote and yet minutes to Dunkinā€™ Donuts and Foxwoods. No problem getting an Uber.

Perfect Mid-Week Getaway

This was the perfect location and house for my family get-together. The house was roomy and comfortable, and convenient to both casinos. We all had a great time... and may even be back next year. Hope you like horses, because as a working horse farm, you will see them from each room in the house. Beautiful!
