Perfect place for a romantic get away, although my stay was work related, and I was a single traveler. Felt very safe as a women traveling alone. "Super clean, great water pressure in the shower, and plenty of room for 2 people. The hosts are lovely, great with communication and will likely greet you at check in. If you're looking for a quiet and private place for a long weekend, this is a great option. The town of Shokan is super tiny and has very few dining and/or grocery options, so you'd have to head to Woodstock, Kingston or Phoenicia for legit breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinking options, but all are just a 15-25 minute drive away. "

"The hose is really cute and decorated well, however we were put off by the smell of the water. My family refused to even wash with it. We had to go to the store for bottled water and shower at a friend's house. Also the bedding needed to be laundered. I emailed the owner about these problems and did not hear back."

"We loved the location right in town , excellent! Great shops, bars and restaurants within a short walking distance. We loved the room too. About the only improvement I can think of is if you upgraded the couch to a full size one. We will book again the next time we go to Woodstock. "
