"This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. It’s one thing to feel vulnerable due to a connected wall separating the room by folding doors and shutters but no blinds or curtains on some of the windows and no lock one at least one window. The room was very dusty and smelled of mold. My husband became physically sick after we closed the windows during the night ( temperature outside required it- 55 ). Also, the owner didn’t respond to a question I had the day before about cable TV. ...

"It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. "The unit is just off the main street (Maine Street) in Brunswick, close to Gelato Fiasco and Frosty's Donuts but not so close that you hear traffic. It's clean, with plenty of windows. Parking was easy, usually on the street right in front.We didn't need a hot tub or laundry, but if those were on the property, we didn't see them. Bumping our heads on the low angled ceiling on one side of both bedrooms were an issue for both of us.In all, a good deal for a good location."

"We loved our stay here! What I loved most was the common area with the large sectional and seating area. Plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out! We used the kitchen for all meals and it was adequately stocked with everything we needed for cookware and utensils. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The location is great, a quiet neighborhood and easy drive to the harbor. The only thing I would suggest to make it a better stay is more towels and adequate bedding for the pullout...
