"I had a lovely stay at Hillsdale - Steve and Caz were fantastic hosts who couldn't be more helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was a great way to get the day started. It's located really close to all the local amenities, there's great walks on the doorstep and the bus stop is a couple of minutes walk if you want to go further. "

"I stayed in the Helm Crag room which has fantastic views of the surrounding hills. The bed is incredibly comfortable and the shower superb. The whole room is immaculate and super clean. I didn’t want to leave! The owner was very welcoming and helpful and easy to contact if you have any queries. I would recommend highly. "

"All members of staff extremely helpful, young lasse went out of her way to book me in early, then other females granted me an iron and ironing board and directed me to the in-house laundrette and drying area🙏 Absolutely einfach-klasse/ simply brilliant. All areas were spotlessly clean. This YHA is the best, in my humble opinion, and the ambiance is surreal. "This was our first stay at this property which was very conveniently located within Ambleside. We were warmly welcomed at the properly and had a lovely room, very comfortable and smart. There was plenty of space to store clothes and the bathroom and other room. I have only left off a rating for the Eco-friendliness because I wasn’t really paying attention to this aspect of our stay so isn’t really fair to rate. "We loved everything about our stay at the Wateredge Inn. The place is beautifully decorated, the room was quiet and cozy, parking was so easy and the food was just delicious. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. We will definitely be back in the future. "
