Leave me alone, please
The location is nice but the home is very outdated. The problem with this place is that you will receive multiple calls and messages from the owners before, during, and after my stay. The owner will make you sign a separate lease agreement after you book through VRBO. They will then send you a secondary set of instructions on the day you check in with separate rules in addition to the agreement you sign. These rules include the fact that they have cameras with audio throughout the property. It felt like an invasion of privacy. The owner will add extra charges to your credit card after leaving the home. They claimed that the charges were for scratching their poker table when our group never used the room that it was in. The owner then stated that our group did not make the scratch but stated that the group caused their cleaning team 4 extra hours of cleaning because we did not start a load of towels. I then had to interact with them multiple times over the next few weeks because of the extra cleaning required and the charges associated with it. If you stay at this place, be prepared to have the owner be a part of your life for a month. Take pictures of everything when you leave.

Thanks for the details of your complaint. Of the over 120 reviews, two were not 5 stars and both those had some of their damage deposit withheld for damage or extra cleaning time. The cameras we have are fully disclosed in our description and are for property security and Amazon delivery. There is no camera around the hot tub or inside the house. We call every guest to make sure our property is RIGHT FOR THE GUEST. We are happy to send anyone pictures to explain our $75 extra charge for this guest. The floors were left muddy from tracking dirt throughout the living area. Your group did stay in the apartment with the table. The extra communication explains our check out instructions. We send some extra communication about our community rules, since we are part of an HOA. No on else has ever complained about extra contact as we try to provide information about things to do in the area. And extra information about our house. We also usually call or email to see if everything is OK. If anyone is concerned, we highly recommend guests take pictures before and after they leave if they feel something is wrong. We feel extremely good about our past guests comments. I guess we couldn’t please 2 out of 120 guests. Thank you

Pagaosa Cabin
Great place and host was very accommodating. Just outside The main part of town but was able to do so much. Snowboarding a couple times, Snow mobile ride, good thai food and soaked in the hot springs (a little stinky though). Cabin had everything we needed (or could want) to make meals, coffee, etc. Beds were very cozy. Beautiful starry nights and amazing sun rises

This house was fabulous. Everything in the listing was exactly as stated and even more. The owners were very helpful and answered our calls right away. Have been renting homes in Pagosa for the past 30 years and would rate this at the top.Will definitely be going back

Lovely Log Cabin outside Pagosa Springs
The owner and I communicated well. The house was divine, the location was beautiful. The house came stocked with everything we needed and the grocery store was 5 minutes away. The views from the house were spectacular and it was a great stepping off point to our National Park adventures and adventures in general. The hot tube was great after a day of hiking, and there was plenty for the children to do from Bocci and horse shoes, to the disc golf course. I would absolutely stay here again and I have already suggested the place to my friends.

Don’t let the beauty fool you….
These owners are not the kind of people you want to deal with before, during or after your stay. First there’s the phone call to see if you’re a good “fit” for their property. These were the owners words during our call, and it sure felt like profiling to me. Next comes the barrage of emails and documents to sign and return, almost 40 pages of stuff were sent for my party to agree too. Then, while you are on vacation, the wife of the owner starts texting you to water their plants around the property….seriously some random person you have never had contact with asks you for this while you are on vacation paying them over $400 per night. Then you leave and they charge you for replacement of items that are clearly old and sun damaged(spa cover) that our party saw in good condition as we departed. I wouldn’t be surprised if the cleaner gets a kickback for “finding” damage. Not to mention the master room upstairs has the lock installed backwards so you can lock people IN the room, and they can only exit the room if someone lets them out. Like I said, don’t waste your time or precious vacation time with these owners.

Sorry you feel this way Jason. We have done the above for over 6 years and this the first time we have received these type comments and the first time we have not received a 5 * review. BTW we depreciated the cost for the damaged item. And that is the first time we have heard about the lock on the door. We had our handyman get out there as soon as you told us about that and had that fixed. And no I did not call to ask if you were a good fit for our property, I called to make sure that our property is what you were looking for. Again, I have made the same call for over 6 years. I am sorry that our property did not meet your expectations. Best of luck in the future.

Great weather
Couldn’t have asked for a better atmosphere this summer, the weather was awesome. Coming from 110 degree weather, it was a much needed change. The house had everything we needed. We did some hiking, disc golf, road the train and went on a mine tour.

Great Pagosa Cabin
We stayed here for spring break and loved it. Clean, comfortable and secluded. It was close enough to town to enjoy going for dinner but far enough away to feel like your on vacation in the mountains! Highly recommend this cabin!

Family fun in Pagosa Springs
We had a great time staying at the cabin with our family. There were 9 of us and it worked perfectly for us. Games to keep us entertained. A great view and wildlife viewing didn't disappoint....we saw turkeys, chipmunks, deer, a whole herd of Elk, and coming back to the cabin 1 night at dusk a mountain lion ran in front of our car. The owners are so friendly and easy to communicate with.

A Great Getaway Retreat
We are a group of 6 guys who have known each other since High School. Every year we look for someplace in Colorado to gather for a week, coming from all parts of the country. We were very pleased with every aspect of this property. It was large enough to easily accommodate us all. The owners were very helpful and responsive to our needs, The views from the deck are gorgeous. The location is quiet and peaceful. The property was clean and well organized. The area of Pagosa Springs offers all types of fun activity for all interests. We will be back!

Perfect Family Getaway!
The house and location are even more beautiful than the photos. We had six adults and four children ages 3-10. Everyone had their own space and there is plenty of room to gather as well. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked with everything you could want. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets and early morning coffee on the deck. The house is very private but an easy drive to town and grocery stores. The owners are very responsive and really want you to enjoy their lovely home. Thanks Steve and Janice for sharing your place! One of our best VRBO vacations!

Amazing views and location
Beautiful, well kept property with amazing views outside and perfect inside for our group of 8. Large kitchen with everything you need. We cooked all our meals and several people could help in the kitchen at the same time. Spacious living room and very accommodating bedrooms and bathrooms. Peaceful Retreat!
We had a wonderful stay! The house was wonderful - peaceful and private but close to town (7 minutes from Walmart). We had 6 kids between the two families ranging from 8-16 and it was great! The Mountain View from the deck & hot tub were superb! We saw lots of hummingbirds, elk, deer and turkey in the backyard! The house had everything you could need - like you’re own home! We cooked a lot of meals and every spice/condiment and kitchen appliance was provided. Pagosa Springs was a fun and relaxing place. We went to Treasure Falls, Riff Raff Brewery, the hot springs, Chimney Rock, tubing on the San Juan and took a steam engine train ride in Durango. The owners were easily available if we needed anything. Definitely recommend!

Perfect Vacation
We absolutely fell in love with this house and the location. It is far enough away to be secluded and really enjoy the spectacular scenery but close enough to town to grab food and groceries. The mountain views and sunrises from the porch were AMAZING. The house was perfect for our group. Enough room to spread out but the living room has plenty of seating for everyone to be together. The kitchen was fully stocked with ANYTHING you could possibly need. We’ve stayed at a lot of VRBO’s and I was truly impressed. Janice and Steve were lovely and responsive. I think they really do love to share their beautiful home with people who will appreciate it. I can’t wait to come back…

Perfect mountain getaway
Janice and Steve were wonderful in making sure everything was perfect before and during our stay at their beautiful log cabin. It's perfectly situated amongst the trees at the top of the hill, with total privacy and the most stunning views. I enjoyed watching the sunset while soaking in the hot tub. Perfect way to end the day after skiing at wolf creek, which is an easy 40 minute drive. And the kids especially enjoyed the hills to sled on. It was a perfect home away from home for our family of 5! We can't wait to come back!

Wonderful snowy vacation
We had a wonderful time at this VRBO in Pagosa Springs. The check in process was easy, and the owners were responsive when needed. The house is beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub each afternoon, and the view is even better than the pictures. They also had a wonderful hill to the side of the house for my children to sled down, and multiple sleds in the garage for our use. We enjoyed bumper pool in the apartment, and games/puzzles in the main house. I was especially impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked. Every pot/pan, utensil, and spice you could possibly need. We've stayed in multiple VRBOs and even though most say the kitchen is fully stocked, it is not! This was a perfect place to spend our family vacation and we would love to return!

Annual Elk Hunt
What a beautiful house! The location is perfect. It backs up to the National Forest, has views of the mountains and is only a few minutes to town. We used the house and the living quarters above the garage. The home was spotless. The kitchen has everything you need to cook for a large group. The beds are very comfortable with plenty of blankets. All of the appliances worked perfectly. The hot tub was used every night after a hard day of hunting. We had a herd of about 80 Elk feeding around the house one day. Amazing! One of the most important features of this property is the great communication the owners provided from the day we booked their home until the day we left. Thanks Steve and Janice for sharing your home with us. We look forward to next year. Blessings!

Most Amazing Family Getaway
The house was nothing short of AMAZING and INVITING! Just driving up and one knew this was a slice of heaven. Everywhere you looked there was another wonderful use of the beauty of the area! The views are spectacular. The Liddell"s have added so many homey touches that you can't help but feel relaxed and at home. We have already recommended this home to many friends.

Beautiful Home
This house was immaculate. Had everything we needed. The location was easy to get to, but still seemed isolated. We saw many deer, elk and turkey from the porches. Beds were very comfortable and linens were high quality. Plan on staying there again. Owners were very nice to deal with.

BEST VRBO PROPERTY EVER
This visit was our second one to this property. It was as good as the first. We had our two sons and their families join us again. It was like coming to our home away from home. So many memories. We talked over dinner Friday night about how easy it makes it to have a quality property to come back to visit.

Amazing!!!
The log home and property were beautiful! The views from the deck were so amazing and we were able to see a lot of wildlife every evening! We cooked several meals and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The back yard games were a hit with my family! The owners were so great to work with! Gorgeous home
The best vacation home I’ve ever stayed in. The home was super clean, updated, and beautiful. The views from the cabin overlooking the mountains was magnificent. Super private and yet accessible to Pagosa Springs downtown. There are plenty things to do at the house like corn hole, bocce, horseshoes, hot tub, lounging around the patio, playing poker, playing bumper pool, and watching the wildlife. The spacious kitchen had everything we needed for meals and baking. The hummingbirds were fun to watch. We saw mule deer, wild turkeys, and chipmunks during our stay. My family and I would love to stay here again. This place does not disappoint.

Beautiful Home in Equally Beautiful Setting
The home was very comfortable and fun for all of us. The rooms were perfect for our guests and the extra room above the garage was really nice for some quiet yoga with a gorgeous view. Glad to hear the owner bought the property next door to preserve their view. Would love to come back.

Steve and his wife are by far the most communicative and welcoming owners any of us have ever experienced through VRBO. The home is immaculate and placed right in the middle of beautiful scenery. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone!

We celebrated my daughter birthday here and showed my kids snow for the first time we also went to the springs absolutely prefect , we seen elk right off the back porch prefect house and prefect location had everything we needed

Family vacation
Of our past stays in VRBO properties this the best one yet. The owners where awesome in helping with anything we asked. There checking on us and helping with suggestions of the area went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. If you are planning a family get away this property is what you are looking for the Liddell family are so good at making your family comfortable at there property.

Picture Perfect
This was hands down the best VRBO we have ever stayed at! It was so homey and welcoming. It was clean and very well stocked. Steve was so incredibly easy to work with and very responsive. We spent thanksgiving here and had everything we needed to make our thanksgiving meal. If your thinking about staying here, do it! You will not regret it! We will be back!

Absolutely beautiful!
To say that this property is wonderful is an understatement. It truly was a home away from home for our family as we came together and relaxed, ate tons of great food, watched a lot of Netflix and just truly enjoyed ourselves. It really struck us how generous the owners are, given how willing they are to not only share their vacation home, but to provide literally everything you'd need to really enjoy it while you're there. We had snow when we were there and it was a lot of fun for our kids to lounge in the hot tub while gazing out on the snow-covered landscape and then build snowballs and frolick. We were minutes from town but still felt very far away from it all. All of us agreed that we'd love to come back and make even more memories and we really hope to get the chance in the future. Hands down the best property we've ever rented!

Family vacation
This cabin was amazing for our family vacation and we enjoyed how thoughtful and considerate the owners are. We loved watching elk off the side deck and our boys enjoyed the outside space and games. We will definitely be coming back!
