"Top Accommondation!"

"Food was exceptionally good with great choice. Staff pleasant and helpful."

"The property was was pretty much as expected, The room was clean and big. The issue we had was there did not seem to be sufficent sound deading between the rooms, as we could hear voices from other rooms. Could not hear what they were saying, but could near the noise. Luckily they went to bed about the same time we did and did not wake up before we did, but it not what we wanted or expected. It was in a very isolated location. That was not a problem for us, but something to be aware of. ...

"We stayed in a family room which was brilliant. The kids had a separate sleeping area and separate beds which was great! Nice spacious room for the four of us. Everything needs updating but i overheard that this property is being updated soon. Unfortunately the water was turned off on our last morning. Reception warned us the night before which we were grateful for and we were provided with plenty of bottled water in the morning and an apology from reception which i was grateful for. We found...

"Beautifully decorated hotel with excellent food and helpful pleasant staff."

"Warm welcome and amazing, helpful staff team. Lovely clean rooms and great water pressure. Buffet style cooked breakfast was only thing that was not 100% ... one day it was all pretty dried under the lights, although the next stay it was much busier and breakfast was fresher as turnaround of stock was faster. We ate one night in the restaurant and the food was good but a little pricy, although expected for a hotel restaurant. We would definitely stay again if in the area."

"We were walking the Pennine Way and stopped off at Bongate House after reaching Dufton and after walking/backpacking for most of the day. We had a very friendly welcome from Ann who on arrival looked after our every need. Breakfast was ample and tasty. The property suited our needs perfectly. Thank you Ann!"

"Booked this last minute as a 1st stop on a trip around the lakes area, My goodness, I know they say you get what you pay for, but you don't expect to see insects crawling in your bed or on the bedside tables!!!. Asked to be moved immediately which in fairness they did move us to a room on the 1st floor which was adequate but still dirty carpet, tired looking etc Whole place needs a refurb, which I doubt Best Western will be doing anytime soon, and as such the price reflects the condition of...

"Staff were very friendly and helpful, comfy bed, lovely hot powerful shower! Great food and beer, really enjoyed my stay!"

"The rooms were fine-we’d stay there again. The bathroom fan was running in the wrong direction-pulling air in."

"Lovely house with fab view of the Eden Valley."

"This is a place that has been designed to make you feel at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated with colorful fabrics and interesting decorations. The pub is dog and human friendly and is a popular spot for locals. Jack, the Bernese Mountain dog is regularly present as he belongs to Kenny, one of the owners. Kenny and staff have put together an eclectic playlist of songs that are ever present in the background but not so loud as to interfere with conversation. The entire staff works hard to...

"Otimo custo beneficio. O hotel é bem localizado, bom cafe da manhã, equipe simpatica e otimo quarto."

"What a great hotel. It is quite isolated, but is a little gem. Built in the 1930s, it retains many of its original art deco features and has been well maintained and sympathetically furnished for the period. After storms, we had a short power cut and I almost expected to hear a scream from a maid discovering a crime and Hercule Poirot appearing. The food was reasonable, if not sparkling but we did have a powercut in the middle of dinner and they coped admirably. The staff seemed quite...

"Staff could not have been more helpful. Home from home with super public areas and wonderful food. A gem we will visit again soon!"

"Very difficult access for parking"
