These homes are always full. We own Emerald, Sapphire and Diamond, all right next door to each other. Sapphire and Emerald are the identical 12BRs. More of...more! Get two. 24 bedrooms. Why not?! Diamond (10BR) too. Side x side x side! 34 bedrooms... All 3 were fully booked last summer and all the major holidays almost a year in advance, sometimes two for our repeat guests! Act quick!
Diamond is a 10 bedroom family-friendly luxury beach home located directly on the beach in an exclusive, gated community with zero-entry pools. Handicapped accessible features. Elevators. Firepit. The perfect vacation home for large groups, or small ones that like lots of space!
Diamond will very comfortably sleep 29. No sleeper sofas! And, because this is a big family friendly place, several of these beds are in one room that's perfect for either one big family or for most of the kids! Nestled on the third floor, this large family room has two twins, a futon, and 2 single bunks, sleeping up to 7!

All bunks are twin over twin at Diamond. There are NO sleeper sofas.
POOLS -- Private Deck Pool AND Community Pool In addition to the zero-entry community pool located right across the drive from the home, the home also has its own private, elevated dipping pool at living room level. Dipping does NOT mean itty bitty. Its a 20x12x3.5' Rectangle. Sit in your living room, watch your kids play in the pool outside, how cool is that!? Or enjoy that beverage overlooking the gulf!
And we added a gas pool heater to the deck pool, so YES the pool is heatable to a maximum of 84 (the high side of recommended rec pool temps) to take the chill off! This service is by request in advance with a per night surcharge for length of stay (gas is expensive right now, this does not actually recoup the cost!). Fee subject to change due to incredibly high gas rates right now. You may add it after booking by simply requesting the pool be heated any time after making the reservation and at least a few days before check in so we can get it on before you arrive. TWO REFRIGERATORS Two? Yes two. Because you won't want to stay somewhere without an extra fridge once you have had them. And mini-fridges in wet-bar areas on the other floors too! Plus.. 2 dishwashers.
PARKING You can park 5-6 mid to full size vehicles in front and under the home. In addition, there are multiple overflow parking areas in the Cottages neighborhood, conveniently located nearby, not miles away! "Street parking" is not allowed -- parking in areas other than at the home and in the overflow parking areas -- per the HOA rules, and NO buses, trailers, or RVs are allowed to park anywhere in the community.
WIFI/INTERNET? YOU BET! YES! We have an awesome Eero multi-node mesh network fed by fiber optic for up to 1GB speeds (and we typically see 750+ in real world line speed tests at the home) to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!
ELEVATOR? YES! Diamond has a residential elevator. This can be super helpful. The elevator entry, for those who might need to know for wheelchair and similar assistance, is 33".
Of note, the main level bedroom's bathroom has a zero-entry (no lip) shower with a 32" opening.
Please be mindful that elevators in homes are NOT commercial elevators like in hotels and so on. These are small elevators more akin to what you find in other countries and in big city apartments. They are not meant for kids running around, in and out of them, and using them for games. 🙂 So do not be surprised if something happens. Most commonly, a door is left open, or people walking into and out of them a bunch of times (which can cause them to lock out). TWO OTHER COTTAGES RIGHT NEXT DOOR And if 10 bedrooms is just not quite big enough, check out Emerald or Sapphire, 2 12 bedroom homes right next door, or any of our other wonderful family-owned homes. Emerald and Sapphire are identical 12 BR units, so if you want to sleep up to 88, well, that would do it! Or over 115 in all 3!
PLEASE NOTE that the Cottages at Romar neighborhood association has determined that no weddings or special events may be hosted in the property. This is applicable to our Jewels by the Sea. However, although you cannot host weddings or special events at the Diamond, Emerald, or Sapphire, you certainly can stay there during your trip and enjoy these large homes, their luxury, and the terrific neighborhood amenities.
GRILL Yes. There is a direct-plumbed gas grill for your use.
SOAPS, PAPER and BEACH TOWELS, COFFEE ETC ETC As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). All bed linens and bath towels are provided (bath towels, we provide 1.25* the MAX Guests (not however many you reported). That's a lot, like more than 55 for 44 people; however, if you plan to 'pack the house' AND expect to use more than one towel per person, then may want to bring some more. You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Also also... all our homes have both drip coffee makers and Keurigs as well.
You ll love staying at the Sapphire at the Cottages at Romar. You ll wish you never had to go home. If you don t book early, you ll stop by wishing you could be here.
We have a number of smaller places as well, and also bigger: like taking 2 sides of a very nice duplex to get 20 (twenty!) bedrooms.
