This is a little disappointing. In my check in instructions, I let you know how to soundproof the exteriors doors which blocks out the noise. The whole town of OOB is along the trains path but our building which was built in the 90’s put in sound proof windows and doors. They have to be activated by pulling the handles upwards to suck them in as I put in the instructions. My unit is the furthest from the train and closest to the ocean. I will make sure to reiterate this part of the instructions moving forward.

1. The shower curtain - This was 100% unacceptable and when I was notified the housekeeper was going to go to change it. The renter was told there was a backup in the unit and said no to worry about sending housekeeping and they would change themselves. I was using the unit two weeks prior and the shower curtain was fresh. In that period of time, I don't understand how it got so dirty but in no way was it 5 years old. These are changed once a month. Housekeeping missed it and I apologized and offered a solution immediately. 2. The cable - Our service provider updated our boxes for the whole building during this renters stay. We were told the old boxes would continue to work but that didn't happen. When I offered for the renter to reach out to the property manager to work out a time to switch the boxes the renter refused. The wouldn't allow us to fix the problem and instead became hostile via text. I do think part of this was because of the initial feeling of the dirty shower curtain. But as an owner who answers every call and text, how can I help if you wont allow us to fix the problem. This was a matter of bad timing and not something I could ever control We have all had problems with our cable providers and this wasn't something I could have planned for. 3. The master bed - I have owned this condo for 4 years. Within the last year I replaced the mattress and there is no squeaking that I have ever heard. Even when the mattress was old, we never had any complaints. I just went today and jumped on the mattress and heard no squeaking. The renter never notified me of any problem with this. 4. No windows in the master bedroom - This unit is set up with one bedroom on the ocean which isn't the master but the bathroom is right outside the door. The master bedroom has no windows but glass doors that go out to a large deck. Not sure how you can complain about not having windows that you can leave open and hear the ocean. We have some of the best views of the ocean, the sunrise and sunset in all of old orchard beach. There is zero advertisement that says you can fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. I have traveled to some of the furthest reaches in the world and this is a special thing that I have only achieved on a sailboat. I do believe if you slept in the oceanfront room at this time of year, you may have been able to get the effect of sleeping to the ocean waves you were looking for. Thanks for the review! Glad you enjoyed your stay. Although your the first review to make mention of the mattresses, I have had hard time with the mattress in the master bedroom. The one in the oceanfront bedroom is more firm and I sleep well on that. Will investigate the one side because its possible I didn't notice the wearing. The master queen bed has already been ordered and will be replaced in the next two weeks. I will look into the other mattress. Thanks for the feedback!
