"This was a special booking for us. My mum got married here nearly 30 years ago. Due to ill health; this is their last time being able to get to the hotel. So we decided to surprise them with staying for the night…they thought they were just going for lunch. I reached out to the hotel to explain the situation & from the get go; they were exceptional with their support in making it a memorable experience. Nothing was too much trouble. We were kindly gifted room upgrades to make it extra special....

"The room was spotless, modern and spacious. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the food excellent, with a very good choice for evening meal and breakfast, as well as the food being piping hot."

"The breakfast was amazing good quality food staff amazing clean shepherd hut was warm and quiet bar staff amazing not far from Whitby and robins hoods bay plenty of parking quite road "

"Clean rooms and well laid out. I went when some school groups were on and it wasn't very noisy which was good. The only downside was when I was in a room not reserved by a school group a teacher asked me to leave so they could have the children wait in there before they headed out. "

"The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time."
