Long-term renters welcome.

This is a spacious 1 bedroom apartment with two single beds that can be combined to make a king size. Situated an equal distance between Miami Beach and Silver Sands in a quiet residential area take your pick on the type of beach you would like to visit. To get to either beach this is a 5-minute drive. The nearest beach is Cotton Bay (10 minute walk) where there is a nearby surfing school.

Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and oven, kettle and utensils, en-suite bathroom and bedroom with 2 single beds that can be combined into a king size and dining area.
Cotton Bay - this is the nearest beach to the apartment, popular with surfers. A surfing school is nearby
Rescue Beach/Surfer's Bay - popular with surfers
Miami Beach - popular with tourists and has calm waters
Silver Sands - popular with surfers
Cafe Luna Barbados - visit this restaurant on the way to Miami Beach. This venue has beach-side wedding facilities too.
Oistins - popular tourist area with restaurants
A small grocery shop is right next door
For up-to-date bus information, visit Barbados Transport Board website, click Bus Schedules and search for Enterprise. ZR buses are regular at the nearest bus stop.

Due to the location of the apartment, a car is recommended. There is plenty of parking at the apartment. It is easy to get to Oistins or the beaches by car or foot. You may also want to consider hiring a pedal cycle or scooter.

I love the fact that it was clean and efficient. Location for me was spot on. Listing says car needed but its not too far away from the main bus route. Everything as advertised. The owners are great and caring and provide a safe environment. Definitely recommend.

The place was nice, clean and close enough to the main road. The owner's grandson was very nice. It was easy to enter. They even put a tv inside at my request. Overall it was a great experience.

We have not stayed in the area for many years, so really enjoyed the local flavour. Yusuf could not have been a more attentive host. He was available to us anytime we needed anything, and often checked in to make sure all was good. Juliette, a very lovely lady living upstairs was always willing to give us a hand or info, if needed, or just a friendly chat. The place was as described, clean, fairly well appointed and the beds were comfy. My only thought was that our unit did not really have a proper table and chairs to eat at, or a patio to sit outside, but the unit our friends were in had both, so we were able to eat dinners together and have coffee outdoors in the morning. All in all, we were very happy and would rent again.

This property gets 5 Star all the way for the price point. It was pleasant place to stay in a safe neighborhood with an owner, who is very receptive and on point to all of our needs. It was spacious and clean. I would definitely return. It’s not luxurious, but it was humble place to rest our heads. Thank you Yusuf!! .

I had a great experience in this home during my 2 week vacation in Barbados. It's MUCH larger than the photos suggest; you walk in to a proper kitchen, followed by a proper living room, then both a spacious bedroom and bathroom. I travelled alone but even a couple will have plenty of space.The building is not new, but it's lovingly cared for, super clean, stocked with the basics of kitchen appliances and dishware (they even left a little sugar which was perfect for my morning coffee), towels, soap, etc. The owner communicated before, during and after to make sure I was happy.The location may not be for everyone but for me it was just right. When I travel I like to be immersed in authenticity and I also like walking. It's located jjust a couple of kilometers from the nearest beaches (Silver Sands is about 2 kilometers and Miami Beach is another kilometer past that) so maybe a 30-45 minute walk. I found that walk a big part of my experience; in the morning walking by cows and chickens which transitions to beautiful views of the ocean, and then at night to be immersed in the calls of the Whistling Frogs. My last night I even declined a free ride back from Oistins just to hear the frogs for the final time.For those of us outside of Barbados, it will feel strange, but there is literally no street address, but local Bajans (and taxi drivers) will understand "Upper Carters Gap in Christ Church", but do print out pictures, instructions and a map from the host. Enjoy!!!!

My husband and I recently stayed at this apartment, and we had a wonderful experience. The space was incredibly comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. From the fully equipped kitchen to the cozy living areas, it was clear that the host had put thought into providing all the necessities.Our host was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, providing clear instructions and being available for any questions.

Great stay. Felt as if we were living like local people. And local beaches were wonderful. We were very well looked after and could ask any questions we had. The only issue we had was that we felt we didn't really have a pleasant outside space to sit in. Other than this we could not have been happier.

If you want to sample the true Bajan lifestyle then this is the place to stay. There is Carters Bar and Variety next door for provisions and 2 houses down there is a shanty house where you can buy your Deputy Beers, Rums and snacks. On the weekend the lady sells a local delicacy homemade to order. Cheryls shop is just around the corner, down the lane for milk, eggs and other household supplies. Hens, chickens and roosters roam freely everywhere and,of course, they are not quiet creatures, especially, during the nighttime and early morning so if you are a light sleeper expect to hear their calls - all part and parcel of island life. The local scrub fields have Beef cattle and goats grazing. If you are lucky you will see Fast Eddie on his much adapted bicycle attending to them every morning. Close by after a short walk is Cottons Bay for surfing,'addle boarding and turtle watching, with Freights Bay nearby before a little firther on is Miami Beach favoured by the locals ar sunrise for exercise,safe swiimming, chit chat and a game of paddle tennis. All in all a wonderful experience, chatting with the local people who are every so friendly and engaging in conversation.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! We were greeted by Yusuf and were made to feel very welcome. The apartment was very clean and had absolutely everything we needed. It was a short walk to the bus routes and we were able to visit all of the amazing beaches. Yusuf and his wife checked to make sure we were ok every few days which was very reassuring. The apartment had a lovely space outside with a bbq and table to sit at and relax after a busy day. I would recommend this to anybody who would like to visit the beautiful island of Barbados on a very reasonable budget!

I had a great stay at Upper Carters Gap. Yusuf was the perfect host , he greeted me on arrival and was kind enough to drive me to the local shops. He also explained everything I needed to know to enjoy my stay to the full. The apartment is very close to the beaches and the walk along the coast into Oistins is again very enjoyable. The apartment is great value for money and gives a true experience of lovely Barbados.

This was my first time travelling without my Girl crew and not All Inclusive..Totally signed off ...beach 6am everyday and then again in evening. Walked for hours took in the sights purchased fresh fruit picnic as I pleased. Did the Harrison Cave Tours / Mount Gay tasting tour..picked me up from BNB. Loved my place Bright clean no bugs. Wifi worked great.. cooked even BBQ...Safe out on my own..made friends as a women travelling by myself felt very safe and secure...will return hopefuly I will get same BNB
