AMAZING!
This home was absolutely beautiful to stay in. Although we stayed outside most of the time on the beautiful beach and in the large screened porch, the house was great as well. Plenty of space for a family to enjoy. We did not even leave the property; with plenty to do right there on the beach; our family went on the kayak, stand up board and fished from the peddle boat, caught 30! We were very happy with our selection of this home! The sunset will not disappoint. Owners were pleasure to meet and immediately available. This is a must visit again longer next time home!

Great Lake House
Had a great time at this property with my family. We visit Florida every year and this was our first time staying here. Couple things to note that I didnt see in the description or check in details: 1. A gate code is needed to get to the house/driveway. Luckily the owner was nearby upon arrival so that worked out. 2. The house (bathrooms mainly) could use a good deep cleaning. 3. Owners are very responsive. We had an issue with the outdoor hose and it was addressed early the next day. We enjoyed the canoe, bags game, volleyball, lake and sunset views, etc! Would recommend this home to others!

Another Fantastic Week on Lake Weir!
This was our second year booking this house and taking our Grandkids (and great-grands) for time at the Lake. It is so wonderful for all ages! We launched our boat nearby no problem and kept it anchored in 2 ft water the whole time with no issues. The older kids loved paddling over to Gator Joes and tubing.The younger one loved the beach and the clear shallow water. The porch was the perfect gathering place for mornings and after sundown. The umbrella for the table in the water was great sun relief after a couple of days. Thanks Joe & Whitney for the stay. We are already planning our 2024 Lake trip!

Family Lake Trip
The lake house accommodated our family well. Everyone had their own space and the back porch and yard is where we spent most of our time. The sandy beach area was shallow and good for young kids and pets to play. We enjoyed cooking our meals in the kitchen and grilling outside. I would recommend bringing propane if you plan to use the grill and we did have to clean it before use. There is a nearby Publix to purchase any groceries or necessities and two lake front restaurants, which were both very good.

Accommodating & Relaxing
This was our 2nd summer staying here and have already scheduled our 2024 vaca. We spent most of our time enjoying lake activities, playing cards/games on the screen porch while watching the sunsets. Our family of 11 fit comfortably throughout the house and plenty of room in the kitchen for cooking meals. Kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans, utensils you will need. Loved that there is a washer and dryer! Joe & Whitney are very responsive, if needed!

Our favorite vacation 3 years running
As always, our family loved spending time at your beautiful lake home. This is our 3rd summer in a row coming here. The house is spacious and has all the amenities for cooking and 2 very good restaurants on the lake that we love taking the boat to and enjoying a good meal or just having an appetizer and drink. We spent a lot of time on the back porch and the lake. We look forward to coming back next year! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

So cute!
We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday here. It was a perfect getaway for family and friends. Joe lives next door and was more than kind. My husband can’t wait to come back. We brought our boat, a floating island for the kids to play on, and the house had a paddle boat, Kayak, and paddle boat to use. The boat launch was 2-3 miles down the road.

Amazing Sunrise and Sunsets!
Enjoyed our visit, spent most of our time hanging out with family and friends and enjoying the lake and the views. From -15 in Chicago to 75 degrees was a bonus. The owners were helpful and friendly!

Relaxing and fun
7 of us traveled to Florida from Texas on a sibling trip. The house was the perfect size for us. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and we cooked up some delicious steaks on the grill out back. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch or in the hammocks. The sunsets are spectacular. We only had to contact the host once with a coffee pot concern and it was resolved right away. I would advise bringing your own TP though if there are more than two or three of you traveling together for more than a few days because the two roll limit per bathroom (was really one and a half provided) will not last.

Lots of potential and beautiful view of lake.
The house needs a good cleaning. We had to clean the bathrooms before using, shower curtains need to be replaced as they are filthy, refrigerator had dried up spill on bottom, floors were also very dirty. I do have pictures to show some of the dirtiness in the house. Also, one of the bedrooms bed frame was broken, so we picked up inflatable bed to use during our stay. We also were locked out of house coming back to house at night due to battery on keypad needing to be changed. Property manager/owner phone number on VRBO reservation did not answer text or call. We called VRBO and they gave us a different phone number for owner after they also tried to call owner without luck. After continuous dialing we finally got hold of owner who said he would see what he could do! What? We are renting his place and couldn't get in! I think he thought we didn't know how to use keypad because he told me he has never had any issues. Anyway, owner showed up and was also unable to get keypad to work. He did eventually get us back into house by breaking into a key lock box attached to wall. This house has a lot of potential. Some of the upgrades are really nice, but everything is dirty. Outside screened porch is wonderful to sit out and enjoy the beautiful view of lake. Hammocks under the trees are a great touch and were enjoyed. A valid working emergency number in case of emergency should be provided. Renters should not have to call VRBO or police to get help with a keypad issue. We stood outside for about an hour with an infant and kids, not fun!

Nice lake house & town
Very nice lake house for a family to stay at. You can tell the owners are experienced hosts. The kitchen had everything we needed - even some cooking spices which was nice! Loved the beach and the paddleboard and kayak. We enjoyed the screened in porch room very much - it had a lot of furniture in it and nice lighting for nighttime. We played lots of card games at the big table in there and it was a great place to hang out when it was raining. The little tiny town was really cute with some great restaurants. House was equipped with smart TV’s and good internet. I’ve seen some reviews complaining about guests having to wash their own bedsheets on the day of check-out but it wasn’t really a big deal because the washing machine is a very large one that fits a lot of linens. There was some dog poo around the yards that I had to scoop myself but the owners said it was from the last guest that had a dog. So sounds like that was a one-time mistake. Only other thing is I wish we would have been notified that there was construction going on at a the next door house on the same property…although you couldn’t hear it from inside the house, so that’s good - just a minor annoyance when you’re relaxing in the hammock. Overall we had a great time at this house and I would definitely recommend it for a family vacation.

Great time!
We loved the house and lovedddd all the amenities that came with it. There’s 3 hammocks to relax in with one being in the water. We also loved the table in the water with the umbrella. Owners had another house on the property which they were staying in, but they were very friendly and didn’t bothered us about anything. House was clean and check in was easy. Beds were a bit uncomfortable, but other than that no complaints!

Lake Getaway
The house was very nice, the beach was good of course the water was warm due to when we stayed, hottest time in Florida.There were no paddle boards available for use as advertised though. We paid a $100.00 fee for cleaning but were expected to strip and wash all beds and wash towels. I have stayed at many places and always left it clean with all required things done but I personally thought it was over the top to expect guests to wash and dry all sheets in 4 bedrooms and be out by 10:30. That was my only complaint all else was very nice.

Lake Time
We have stayed on the same lake every summer for the past 20 years .A few years ago the owner sold the house we had always stayed at . My son found this house listing and we gave it a try . We were so impressed by the house , location, and the communication we had with the owners . This will be our new “go to “ for our lake vacations. We already booked for next year !

Relaxing and comfortable vacation!
Loved the white sandy beach and screened porch where we spent most of our time. We brought our pontoon boat and jet ski and spent all day on the water tubing, boating and swimming. The home was great and met all our needs and plenty of parking. The owners were real attentive, if you need them. We’ve already booked our week for 2023 and see a continued future relationship with this home!

Our 2nd time staying here and it was as good as the first. House has everything you need!! Just bring food, drinks and your boat. Owners are as friendly as could be and are right next door if you have questions or need something fixed.

Lake House Perfect Getaway!
Our family was very excited to stay here for the second summer. We came last year and couldn’t wait to come back! The house is spacious where my husband and I with our 2 kids and their spouses (ages 22-24) have plenty of room. Lots of amenities for the water to have fun and play and hammocks on the palms. Wonderful property
My family booked this property for a surprise party for my Mother's birthday and it was a great success. The whole house and patio area were clean and beautiful. They had lots of fun things available for the kids to play with inside and out. The swim area was large for smaller kids and the sunsets were beautiful. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to booking it again in the future.

Great beach vacation spot
This home was great for accommodating 5 adults and 4 children! It is right on the beach, which the kiddos loved. The beach was really nice and we felt totally comfortable letting the kids play in the sand without worrying about anything. The home was clean and there was plenty of towels, bedding, and pillows. Felt like a totally safe and quiet area. We have family in Ocala, FL so we visit often and would definitely come back to this home.

Great House!
Our family of six adults had a GREAT time! House was well appointed, right on the beach, with plenty of water toys to help us enjoy the lake. Bonus...you are just a short paddle boat ride to Gator Joes! Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great Family Getaway!
This is a fantastic property for a wide age group. We had from 2 years old to 60+ and all had a great time. We went in early October and the water was great. The lake is clear and shallow near the shore which made it great for the toddlers. We took a small boat and tubes/floats for the kids. The public boat launch is not far away and it was easy to find the dock back at the house. When we were not in the water, we spent most all of our time on the porch, which is fantastic. All the kids and the adults loved Jenga. Will definitely be going back!

Great on the lake house!
Nice house on the lake! It was like we had our own little beach / volleyball court. We paddleboarded to the local restaurant Gator Joe's, hung out on the back patio playing jenga, and lounged on the hammock. The owners live right next door, we seen them but we didn't have to bother them for anything. There were 7 of us and there was plenty of room. If we decide to ever do a lake house again, we would definitely come back. Thank you for sharing your house with us this Labor Day weekend 2021!

Wonderful
We had the best time visiting Lake Weir. The house suited our family perfectly and had so many amenities. We loved the paddle board, kayak, and relaxing in the hammock. Definitely will want to come back!

Great Lake house!
Beautiful home with plenty of room and comfortable beds. Big screened in back porch is just steps away from the beautiful sandy beach on gorgeous Lake Weir! Joe and Whitney were very kind, helpful, and friendly. The house has everything you need. Our family had a fantastic, relaxing week and hated to leave. We can’t wait to come back again!

Great Experience!
We had a party of 7 and had a great time. We brought so much stuff with us and never used it because the house/property has everything you'll need. Joe and Whitney are right next door to answer any questions or fix any problems that may encounter. There is no dock but we just anchored off shore in a couple feet of water and was able to come and go easily in the boat. You'll find nicer houses out there for rent but this one worked out well and is all you need for a vacation rental and you can't beat the price.

This was the perfect place and location for our stay! Walk right out the back door for endless entertainment and relaxation. We never needed to leave the property (except for groceries)! If you’re looking to entertain adults and children- this is the perfect tranquil place! The hosts are super friendly and helpful!

Very pleasant place to stay
The house was perfect for us...we were 4 ladies...each had their own bedroom...the living space was perfect for us to chat...dining area was a nice table to dine or play games and the porch was perfect...screened and plenty of seating....then you could go outside and chairs were plentiful for sitting in the breeze off the lake.
