Balcony Barbecue Dunes Hangout - Accommodates up to 12 Guests!

With a view of the green belt around the lagoon and sand dunes, situated just one block off of the beach, this two story house offers accommodations for up to 12 guests. Plenty of space to BBQ on the gorgeous balcony overlooking Oceano. This rental will bring new meaning to your vacation - family, home, and most of all, fun!

This two story house offers:

3 Large Bedrooms: Master Bedroom on main living level with 1 king size bed (sleeps 2) and one double sofa sleeper (sleeps 2); two other bedrooms on the lower level: Lower bedroom 1 has 1 queen sized bed (sleeps 2) and a roll away twin bed in closet (sleeps 1). Lower bedroom 2 has 1 queen size bed (sleeps 2) and a bunk bed with twin on top and queen mattress on bottom (sleeps 3) Also two additional foam pad stored in room (Sleeps 2).

The open floor plan on the main living level (second floor) provides a common area for lounging while watching TV or using the fully stocked kitchen. Take in the view of the landscape around the lagoon while on the front balcony outside of the kitchen and dining area, which is used for outdoor seating and cooking on the propane BBQ. The master bedroom also on this floor has a balcony for additional outdoor seating.

The garage is set up as a game room with a pool table, couch bar and stools for your entertainment. Outside of the garage door is a sun deck with a table, chairs and umbrella for more game room enjoyment. Under the staircase you will find bicycles for children and adults. Parking is available in the driveway and on the curbside.

This area is among the most popular and unique of California State Parks. The 5 1/2 miles of beach open for vehicle use and the sand dunes available for off highway motor vehicle recreation are attractions for visitors from throughout the United States. Oceano Dunes is the only California State Park where vehicles may be driven on the beach. Four wheel drive / all wheel drive vehicles are recommended for driving on the beach and to the camping and off-highway vehicle use areas in the park. Beach wheelchairs are available for loan at the Pier and Grand Avenue entrances to the beach. Surfing, swimming, surf fishing, horseback riding and bird watching are popular activities. Just a few miles up the coast you'll find more activities like kayaking, cycling, wake boarding, board walking, wine tasting an so much more! Also close to restaurants, shopping and medical attention.

Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights and we had a great time! The beach is within walking distance (cars are allowed to drive on this beach) so we did check out some other beaches nearby during our stay. The house was spacious for us, plenty of space in the kitchen for cooking and we had fun teaching our kids how to play pool. The neighborhood was very quiet as well. There are cement/pebble stairs between the main and second story, so if you have little ones learning to walk or toddlers it most likely won't be pleasant for them. The kitchen and master bedroom are upstairs while the other 2 bedrooms are downstairs. Overall, it's a great vacation house near the coast.

Close to beach, location had very little traffic. House was great, everything needed was there. Only bad thing was beds need to be updated, couple nights are tolerable, but any more than that would be very uncomfortable.

This property fit all of our needs including allowing for our older family members to be able to socialize and sleep on the same floor. Having the family room, dining area, kitchen and master bedroom on the same floor was most important for us. The playroom in the garage also made things easier for all to be entertained together. The short walk to the beach is also a huge plus!

This house is great. Often the pictures make a property look better than it is but here, the pictures do not do it justice! The home was super clean and super well stocked (kitchen supplies, towels, bathroom supplies, a lot of bikes, etc.). There are so many areas to sleep and the garage is a great area to wind down. The house is footsteps from the beach (usually a motor vehicle state park). 100% recommend this stay and 100% would stay again!

The property was well maintained and clean. The location is also very convenientā€‹ if you're in Pimso to play in the dunes. It's a 10 min. walk to most of the rental locations. The neighborhood is also very quiet and it's a great place for families. The only thing we wish was better, were the pillows. Flat and not very comfortable, but otherwise we had a great experience.

This home was in a good location, and had plenty of parking for our vehicles. Overall, the home was clean and spacious, and pretty well stocked. The converted garage, with a bar and pool table was a nice hang out for our adult kids to have fun together in the evenings. Also, a few different outdoor patio spaces to sit and relax. It is a very short walk to the beach, however, if you are wanting to actually spend time on the beach, this is the wrong neighborhood for you. The beach here is dedicated to ATV recreation, and is literally a highway of fast moving vehicles all day and late into the night. So, you really canā€™t enjoy the beach here or for a couple of miles in either direction. There were a few cosmetic maintenance issues that should be taken care of, for the price of the rental, such as old vertical blinds that are missing slats or donā€™t function well. Also, bring your own spatula if you plan on flipping eggs or pancakes. But these issues wouldnā€™t deter us from staying here again. The rental agency was also easy to deal with, and had great communication.
