"The area around Box Hill is beautiful. Some nice little nature areas within strolling distance. Good star-gazing. Staff at the pub were great, as were the locals. Excellent local ciders and ales. Food was great too, great ploughman's lunch. Amazing place to watch the sunset and see the lights of Bath in the distance. "

"We booked this location based on other reviews and were not disappointed. Staff were very accommodating and welcoming. Food was very good, our room was clean and spacious with lovely decor. As in other reviews be prepared for the walk up the hill from the city centre. It’s a long one but worth it when you get to the top! "

"The place is amazing, for sure it has become my favorite hotel in Stroud. Location is good, around 20 minutes walk to town center. The rooms are incredibly, very spacious and well mantained with some very welcomed perks as a nespresso machine and a wireless speaker. The restaurant serves very good food during the day and breakfest is also delicious! Will be back many times!"

"We stayed in the hotel during the heat wave, so without the AC the room was quite warm, however manageable. Please mind the old style stairs in the building, may be challenging with heavy luggage. Otherwise the place was excellent for us. The breakfast is the best!"
