There is a furnished balcony where you can sip cocktails overlooking the ocean while the community's lush landscaping creates the perfect beach paradise. The kitchen is equipped with everything you could ever dream of! Yes, this is the time to show off your cooking skills and surprise everyone with tasty meals and beach snacks. High-speed internet and free WiFi, perfect for working from home, distance learning, and streaming.

Things to Know
The pool is currently unavailable to guests.
Due to Hurricane Ian's damage to the on-site beach stairs access, you will have to access the beach down the road through public access points.
Local construction may be taking place Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm. There may be noise and dust near certain parts of the building.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles.

Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. Our smart home technology will alert our team if excessive decibel or occupancy levels are detected, allowing us to reach out directly with a reminder of maximum occupancy and quiet hours. This technology is privacy compliant, and only monitors the presence of decibels and devices-not any personal conversation or information. Thank you for supporting our efforts to be good neighbors!

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Disappointed

Be careful when dealing with the host of this property, which is a Vascasa property. Although it looked nice and clean, our feet became black when walking on the floors. Additionally, the shower stall leaked after every shower, which was never resolved. Their communication is abysmal, and no one seems to know anything. The worst thing was that we received a notice that the beach access from the property was not available, which is why we chose this property. When I was finally able to reach the ā€œhostā€, prior to the last date we could receive our deposit back and choose a property that did still have access. The host didnā€™t know(!), and said he would contact the local manager,. He contacted us back and said it would be fine and we were sent a gate access code. When we arrived, the access was not accessible, the gate could not be used, as the 10 foot drop to the beach had no stairs. We were told we could use the public beach access which was a half mile walk on the main rd. When we complained the response was, well you have beach access. I donā€™t appreciate the dishonesty of this company Vascasa.

We loved the unit! Clean and convenient. Fantastic views. One thing of note...the TV is not a smart TV so if you want to stream, bring a roku or apple firestick device.

Awesome oceanfront

If you want to look out the window or sit on the balcony and see & hear the beautiful ocean, this is the perfect place to be! The sunrises are spectacular, too! It's a quick and convenient walk down to the pool area and great beach access. The unit is very clean and updated. Nice layout and new furnishings. I would have preferred a mattress with more support. Overall, great time and will certainly consider a return visit in the future!

Great Place/Problems with VACASA

This updated condo was absolutely beautiful with a wonderful ocean breeze. It is extremely spacious and I would stay there again if I did not have to deal with VACASA. Due to the hurricane, there was not any beach access within a 10-minute walk. Everything in the unit worked well until the last 2 days. Not only did VACASA cancel this reservation and try to put us in a condo located across the road from the beach, but when we reported the 2 problems that arose, they never called back.

Beautiful Location, Run Down Condo

The Castle Reef is a fine complex with an excellent location, great beach access, and very nice pool. Our particular unit looked like an abused motel on the shores of Myrtle Beach. The unit was not mopped prior to our arrival, the ceilings were black from dust from the AC unit, the ceiling fans were warped downward and rusted, one AC vent had an anti-bacterial wipe stuffed into it, one electric socket was falling out of the wall, and one closet door was broken off it's track. Chipped doors, no trim in the bedroom with chipped paint, and a dated kitchen. I reported the broken door to the property management company (Vacasa) but received no reply. I have pictures to back up all of these claims. We actually had a wonderful week at the beach. The location is excellent, the beach was clean and not crowded, and the pool area was a lot of fun. Someone needs to invest some money into this unit to get it up to 21st century standards.

Loved the condo - clean and comfortable. Property manager was quick to answer any questions we had. Great location! Short walk from condo to beach. Beautiful view and loved hearing the ocean. Great area - lots of shops and restaurants around. Would definitely go back!

All about location

The location of this property really makes it what it is. The view is fantastic and it's located on the non-driving part of the beach. The pool is right next to the beach which our kids really loved, and the beach was clean and pretty quiet. The condo could have used some more essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, etc and we were only given two dishwasher pods for 3 a day stay. Not a huge deal but we had to buy some of those items to last through our visit. The condo could use some updating as others have mentioned, but it's a beach property so you're not really there to enjoy the condo in the end. Overall, we loved the location and the size of the unit was just right for our small family!

Relaxing Weekend

The unit was perfect for our weekend stay. It was well appointed, clean and the oceanfront location can't be outdone on NSB. It was easy to overlook the few things that need some love (cracked entry mirror tiles, the late 70's kitchen & bath and the storage closet could use a proper door). We visited the Canaveral National Seashore which is a gem - just be sure to go early as parking is very limited. We had a very comfortable stay.

On The Beach

The location is prime and the view is excellent. Having both the pool and the ocean is sweet. The condo is in dire need of updates. Entertainment systems are very dated. It worked and I had a nice time!
