"Vi ankom tidlig, men fikk sette bagasjen på rommet. Vi ønsket å dra inn til Manchester uten bil, så vi fikk skrevet ut togtider og ble forklart veien til stasjonen. Var tilbake til middag, og hadde heldigvis bestilt bord, for både puben og spisesalen var full. Menyen var variert og fin, maten var veldig god, og det var god stemning. "I was very impressed with the Queen's Head. Nice clean room in a great location in Higher Buxton. Housekeeping promptly every day. First-rate full English breakfast included. My only complaint is that the room was rather small. There was no space to have an open suitcase, so I had to stuff it in a closet. That was a little inconvenient. Of course, I realize there is nothing they can do about that. It is an old building, and the room size is what it is."
