"Cozy, comfortable, well equipped studio room in quiet neighborhood conveniently located to Nevada City and Grass Valley. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. Close to hiking trails, Yuba River, and the bustling and quaint Nevada City. "

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this small apartment conveniently located in downtown Downieville. Great views of the town below and surrounding mountains. The lodging was very clean and comfortable with a quiet atmosphere conducive to relaxation. As previous reviewers have mentioned the driveway up to the house is very steep so make sure you have decent tires and put your car in low gear before heading up the road! I would be happy to stay here again next time I make it to Downieville."

There is another property attached to the rental, however we had the whole property to ourselves when we went. The studio provided just about everything we needed for our stay and we actually really enjoyed the outdoor shower! "This 39 acres is so delightful to explore. Everyday we would experience a morning walk to a pond and then further on to a lovely walk in the woods with the sound of the running creek. Our first evening there we got to see out the window a deer and rabbits enjoying their evening meal. This is one of the most restful places we have ever stayed. The apartment was truly comfortable and equipped with everything we needed. It was so nice after our hikes to return to the air conditioned room to cool...

"Situated in Butney Springs, this was a great place to stay while I visited family. The property owners were very nice and friendly. The property grounds were being improved, with good progress made while I was there. There was no stress, plenty of space to sit outside and relax to listen to birds sing.
