"Unfortunately I have to condense my review to 1500 character and am writing this on behalf of my mother. I aim to be unbiased, but this stay was disappointing, and I hope this helps others avoid a similar experience. To preface, my mother missed the pet fee when booking, but we resolved it on-site, so that’s irrelevant. "I do not recommend this place. We got almost no sleep our entire visit, there aren't real blinds on the bedroom windows - the blinds have gaps and don't block out light. The light from large liquor store sign across the street kept us up all night. The picture I included of the window was taken at 3 am, it's very bright. It's also very poorly insulated and we heard traffic all night.In addition to the noise and light, the unit wasn't well cleaned. We saw stains on one of the pillow covers, found...

"This is a really lovely spot, spacious common area (kitchen & living room), and nice bedrooms with comfortable beds, and a fabulous location across from the beach. We were in town for a wedding & rented two units in the building for extended family, which worked out really well. Everything was as pictured; note is that one bedroom is only accessed through the bathroom or another bedroom, but that was not a problem for us. The host was easy to communicate with and very responsive to questions...

"Our first impression was a porch that needed work, and an entrance door that needed to be replaced. The property could have been better cared for. The room was clean, and the amenities were sufficient. Contact with the host was good, although we did not receive any instructions until we got there. The neighborhood itself was once very nice, but has certainly degenerated over time; we did not feel completely comfortable as there was much police activity in the area including a knock on our door...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this quaint and welcoming property. It was a perfect location for our time in Newport, just 15 minutes from the beach. Phil was an excellent host, incredibly responsive and attentive. Very comfortable beds as well. We’d stay there again. "
