Old Italian Farm — Cascina Auaro

Cascina Auaro is an old Italian Farm that is now completely converted into a nature oriented holiday home. It is a pure and sweet escape from city life with its comforts and distractions. All year round, 80 meters from the house there is a calming river flowing in which you can bath. In the afternoon, deer, foxes and wild pig might show themselves. Enjoy yourself with the stove inside or the BBQ and fireplace outside.
The space
spaces:
The living room, bathroom and bedroom 1 are located on the first floor. You first take the stairs outside to the porch. Behind the front door, there is the hall. This hall is adjacent to the living room on the left, the bathroom straight ahead and bedroom 1 (also office) on the right. Bedroom 2 can be reached by taking a somewhat narrow staircase in the living room down. You reach bedroom 3 (also laundry room) by going back outside, down the stairs and then inside. This room is simple, but easy to warm up with a electric heater.

Office:
Bedroom 1 is also the office. This can be kept warm with the wood stove in the hallway. There is an electric sitting-standing desk, an ergonomic stool and an office chair. A 27 inch 4K screen with HDMI connection can be provided upon request.

Bathroom:
The shower was replaced in 2021 for a spacious comfortable walk-in shower. The hot water comes from a 120 liter boiler. This is enough to shower with up to 6 people in a row.

Electricity:
If all electrical appliances are on at the same time, the fuses will pop out, but this can be quickly remedied by switching the fuse again.

Driveway:
The driveway is bumpy but accessible at low speed for normal city cars. If it snows snow chains are probably necessary. Optionally, the car can be parked at the top of the driveway. Then the last 150 meters must be covered on foot.

Comfort:
The farm is so great because you are in the middle of nature, but this can sometimes come at the expense of some comfort. All windows are single glass. So you always hear the stream and sometimes a chainsaw or barking dogs or 40 cows standing in the pasture. And on a crazy day you hear everything at once ; )
Guest access
You may use pasture, forest, stream, tree house, garage, stable and attic during your stay. If you want to use some (garden) tools, that is no problem, provided that they are put back in the same place and intact.

Parking:
It is best to park your car 20 meters from the house where the surface is still paved with gravel. So don't drive all the way to the gate.
Other things to note
If you want to come with a larger group, you can. With more than 9 people you will have to provide sleeping gear yourself, such as air mattresses or a tent in the garden. If you want to come with more than 9 people, please discuss this in advance. Probably an extra €10 per person will be charged.
