"Basecamp lodge is a beautiful property slightly away from the main Mount Shasta town. The property is clean and you get "the freshest water in the USA" in the tap. The beds are big (we had a king bed) and very comfortable. You have beautiful Mount Shasta views from the property and it's close to all the hikes, waterfalls and lakes you want to visit."

"The hostel style kitchen and dining room was a unique concept that wasn't fully clear on our Expedia listing. Our family rented the bunk house which was listed as an 8 bunk room, additional room, and bathroom. The bunk house is on the upper floor of the community building that ALL hostel guests have access to. Only the room with the bunks is secure and anyone with a code to the common room can enter "your" bathroom and "gear" room. There is no way go secure them. The AC in the common room does...

"We stayed in the Hummingbird room and it was absolutely delightful! The room is spacious and so clean and comfortable. The garden view is superb and peaceful. The walk in shower and jet tub is luxurious. We ordered dinner and it was superb and very reasonable especially for the amount of food. The breakfast was delicious especially the overnight oats!
