Family Getaway in the high mountains
While the location was unique given the remote site of the cabin, the experience was very nice. However I was misled by the cabin’s description indicating it had 5 bd rooms/4 bath rooms. This was untrue. The cabin had 4 bd rooms:3.5 bath. It was clear the cabin had not been thoroughly cleaned for sometime. Oven had hard dried sticky substance from prior use, refrigerator and microwave were smudged with noticeable fingerprints, dish towels/pot holders were very dirty, bed linen had not been changed, floor/carpet/rugs had not been swept, mopped or vacuumed. There was even animal hair on the coffee tables. I communicated my concerns to the host upon my arrival.She had someone come over the next morning who was quite rude. This person attempted to remedy the cleaning problems with a tiny bottle of some type of solution, a couple of paper towels and a very dirty feather duster. When I asked her what was she doing with those minimal supplies she motioned with her hands that she “was out” and left abruptly. I again contacted the host with these concerns and she indicated that she would throw in an extra night stay for my inconveniences. Honestly my guest and I did not want to continue our stay any longer due to the uncleanliness of the house.
