It’s more of a motel layout than typical hotel. The room was a pet room (I booked that by mistake). It smelled old and like cigarettes. I was on an exterior wall so had cement blocks as a wall. Beds were noisy. Bathroom was okay, not super clean. The blinds were gross on the bottom. It was fine for one night, but I definitely wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

First the good. There was plenty of parking and the check in was quick and easy. The lady at the front office was polite and extremely helpful. The pictures online made the room look much better than it actually was. The room felt dark and unappealing. The bathroom fan didn’t work which caused the room to feel real humid after we were all done showering. It was fine for our one night stay. We booked it because it was a decent price and had a pool, which we never had time to check out.

On the day we checked in, we were given a room that wasn’t cleaned. The beds weren’t made, the trash cans were full and the bathroom had towels all over the floor. It also smelled heavily of urine. When we got moved to another room, someone who later identified themselves as an employee entered into the room saying they thought they lost something. The second room also didn’t have a microwave or fridge. We eventually got moved to a third room that had no issues.

The front desk attendant was very friendly and kind and was able t9 accommodate a special request of ours. She kept her calm and friendly approach even when a large group do high school students arrived for check in!

No microwave and fridge either in the room, was uncomfortable for my family don’t have that option. But good price and location. Will be our options next time.

This property was absolutely foul. I’m not a 5 star hotel person so don’t get me wrong. I’ve stayed at motel 6’s I don’t make 6 figures but I do love the beach. The check in was great. Lady up front 8/10 she did a great job, was very nice, and moved my rooms to accommodate my dog, because we booked through Expedia and it didn’t give me an option to choose a dog room. Very sweet. We checked in, and then went downtown, normal. We got back to the room around 11pm and just got into bed. When we woke up, there was fresh blood on the sheets that was hidden by the pillows. Now no one was bleeding. The sheets had not been washed, but had been reused, and the blood was from someone previously. Was not washed blood, I’ve done laundry before. Disgusting. Imagine sleeping with someone else’s blood on your sheets. We took the pictures & complaint to David and he was amazing. He deserves a raise. He changed us rooms, was very understanding, and made sure to contact his supervisor who is completely avoidant and needs to be demoted to David’s position. The supervisor never showed up to help this situation. When we got to our new room, there was dry dog pee on the floor in the corner of the room, and the floor had not been mopped. It was very gross, but I had already moved rooms and could not get a refund; so we used towels. I’m not one to throw a fit about small things and after the blood. This was a small thing. Customer service is 10/10 from front desk, supervisor -2/20.

Hi Kayleigh, Thank you for your review and email. I did respond to your email. Again I am happy to hear that our Guest service hosts were able to offer a cleaner room. I will get with my housekeeping staff to offer a better and cleaner experience.

The room was poorly cleaned, there were a lot of people smoking marijuana on the property which was Making it an uncomfortable place to stay with a child.

The restaurant and bar is closed since Covid. The Hottub is broken and homeless people are living in the parking lot. The pictures of the property are lovely.

Staff was great but I will say the bed was not very comfortable and I didn’t have my room turned during my stay. I thought that was interesting but I’d say I paid 100 bucks a night for a 100 dollar room. 3/5 I’d say, I’d visit again

Pictures are deceiving
The hotel didn’t have any of the extra amenities we saw from the photos that we were hoping to take advantage of. Photo’s showed a restaurant and bar with a pool table. We we’re hoping to catch some of the NFL playoffs while playing some pool and enjoying some beers and cocktails. However, the restaurant has been closed since the pandemic apparently.

This is a great place to stay when visiting the Carmel/Monterey area. Stood here for one night and was very comfortable. They have a small gym which was very convenient to get a quick morning workout in. Would stay here again and recommend.
