We would like to insure our guests during this period of heightened health concerns that our home if thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed, all bed and bath linens are washed, after every guest stay in accordance with the CDC recommendations.
We would also like our guests to know that the house is wired for wireless high speed internet. So if your children are not in the classroom but taking virtual classes please consider taking a vacation while still having your children getting their education on our high speed internet. You can do both; take a vacation and educate you children.
'Spring is sprung, the grass is riz, I wonder where the birdies is?' (a poem from my childhood?)
The Milford House is the perfect place to enjoy it.
With the Spring Season comes the joy of seeing family and friends and even finding new folks that you never met. The flowers, trees, lawn and even the air in the spring has a different, sweeter smell. Come and join us during the wonderful time of year on the Delaware River.
You can also experience the numerous Spring and Summer festivities scheduled throughout Hunterdon County in NJ or Bucks County across the River in Pa.
If you are looking for a quiet, restful escape, "The Milford House" is perfect for you. Sit on the River porch under the ceiling fans and enjoy the stunning, unobstructed, waterfront views of the Delaware River; or enjoy a family meal on the large, screened-in side-porch overlooking the large, fenced-in yard. Wildlife, including bald eagles, deer and geese are sure to visit in the evening. In the warmer months you can see the boaters and tubers enjoying the day, while in the cooler months, witness the fall colors and the unique image of a snowy river.
If you prefer a more active stay you can take the short walk into town to check out the shops and restaurants but be sure that you tell the shop owners that you are visitors to Milford and that you are staying at the VRBO The Milford House on Spring Garden Street. You can walk or ride the Delaware Canal footpath and local roadways and explore the many State and County parks in the area. There are railroad tracks that run up the river and in front of our home. These tracks are inactive and create a great walking path north and south along the river. Whether you want to relax or explore The Milford House is the ideal place to have your vacation or a weekend getaway.

Should you prefer to bring your own sheets, towels, and wash cloths, please let us know and we will edit the fee charges to delete the laundry fee.

Although our home has beautiful river views, the river bank is steep and access is only for the adventurous. Our grandchildren have negotiated the steep hill several times but it is challenging. There is a boat launch area right across the river on the PA side, just a few minutes away. But there are also numerous areas with river access on both the NJ and PA sides very close by.
