A cute little house almost on the Katy Trail. Bring your bikes, bring your dog, bring your friends.

After a long day of riding the Katy Trail and enjoying the local wineries and breweries, or maybe you are in the area celebrating a wedding, the Katy Haus is your place to kick back and relax.

THE SPACE

Located nearly on the Katy Trail in Marthasville, Missouri, the Katy Haus is in Missouri wine country and less than an hour from St. Louis.

Bike shuttle and rentals available nearby (seasonal), the best pizza in the county is steps from the door, and wineries are a short bike ride down the Katy Trail (or a 2 minute drive down the road).

Ride the Amtrak train to Washington and get a bike shuttle to the Katy Haus to ride the Katy Trail.

The Katy Haus is a one level little house with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom (handicapped friendly). It sleeps a total of 4 people and is dog friendly.

We love daylight and filled the house with it. The open great room has extra tall ceilings, large windows, and a luxury king sleeper sofa.

The full kitchen has everything you need except the food to make your own meals, including place settings, pots and pans, wine glasses, and both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker.

The single bedroom has a king size bed with crisp white linens from The Distinguished Guest and light blocking curtains for sleeping late.

And the bathroom, well, guests have commented that it is the best shower ever. Extra large in size and has a handheld shower head for extra accessibility.

OUTDOOR SPACE

Hot tub and a fenced yard is now in place for you and your doggies! Fully fenced for privacy with a nice grassy area for your doggie to play.

BIKE SHED

We now have a bike shed (shared with the Bank Haus) if you would like to store your bikes.

WINERIES

Lake Creek Winery is only 2 miles down the road. Blumenhoff Winery in Dutzow is 6 miles by bike, and Augusta Brew Haus is 13 miles by bike.

WEDDINGS

Are you attending a wedding nearby at Boone Monument Village (2 minutes), Lake Creek Winery (2 minutes), or in the nearby town of Washington (8 minutes)? We are happy to host you!

For large groups, reserve both the Katy Haus and Bank Haus as they are next door to one another.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Katy Haus is located on Depot Street, what used to be the main street in Marthasville, an historic town that just celebrated its 200th anniversary. Depot is now a sleepy street that sees more people biking and walking than driving cars.

Philly's Pizza is across the side street from the Katy Haus and has delicious pizza.

Note that the MFA Co-op is directly across the street in front of the Katy Haus. This is a working grain silo location for area farmers and does produce dust during loading and unloading of grain and corn occasionally throughout the day.

- Credit card must be on file in case of damages. We will send you an email to authorize a $1 hold after your booking is confirmed. This hold begins 3 days before your arrival and is released 3 days after departure if there is no damage, no excessive cleaning needed, and no house rules are broken.

- Drivers license will be required with our signed guest agreement after you book, along with a selfie holding your photo ID. You will also receive a Guest ID Verification email after you make your first payment to verify someone has not stolen your card, a simple two-factor authorization to prevent fraud.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel before 45 days of arrival, you receive a full refund of your deposit, less a cancellation fee. If you cancel within 45 days of arrival, there is no refund.

Small but nice. A little disappointed that there weren't any doors that led directly to the fenced area, without having to go to the front porch and around to the fence. Just hard with dogs, but otherwise pleasant

This is the perfect little nook for a slower pace of life. The quaint town is quiet and relaxing if youā€™re looking to decompress. We had our two dogs accompanying us and it was the perfect amount of space for us and them. The house had enough entertainment with having WiFi and board games. Would definitely recommend and will be looking forward to renting this place again!

We had a nice relaxing stay. We took our dog g walking on the Katy Trail, We ate breakfast at the Rooster, pizza at Phillyā€™s, enjoyed some music and wine at Lake Creek Winery. The hot tub was nice but we found it awkward that we had to access it through the bedroom and front porch. We did enjoy using it twice. The house had everything 2 people needed. I would stay again.

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Everything was just as described! Owner went out of his way to help with very last minute bike rental. He was very communicative and the check in/out process was easy and straightforward. The vrbo had everything I needed and was very clean and spacious. Location was superb...right next to pizza, a park, and the Katy trail. Quick 12 min drive into Washington. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend exploring the KATY Trail area. This house has been done very well. It is comfortable and roomy. Everything inside the home is new and well maintained. The front porch is a great place to sit and have your morning coffee. The little side yard is also a very nice feature. We were very pleased with our stay here and would consider it again if we are ever in the area.

Trail is literally outside the front door! Long day on trail, this is perfect place to rest. Hot tub, comfy king sz bed, updated kitchen and bath. Very happy with this gem along the trail. Pup came too!!

Cute place, great location for the Katy Trail and for the WINERIES. The E-bikes were great. Pizza place across the street and a breakfast cafƩ just down the street were good! Last but not least the communication with the owner's was efficient and friendly. We will book again. Thank you!

Super cute home, just steps from the trail. Had everything we needed and exceeded our expectations. Communication from property manager was quick, especially when they let us know they were laying sod in the yard during our stay. Hot tub is a great perk after a long day of riding. We would totally stay here again!

Perfect for a small family or couple. The hot tub was nice and secluded. All the appliances worked and the TV was in good shape. Itā€™s just across the street from a nice little pizza joint and the Katy Trail. Washington Mo is only 10 minutes away if your wanting more options for food as there is not a lot there in Marthasville.

What a great place to stay & what great hosts! They thought of everything, including a pdf guidebook they send you the link to before your stay. Comfy King bed, well-stocked kitchen, fabulous shower and great location near the Katy Trail. Makes for a super fun & relaxing stay.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We rented bikes for the first time in our 36 year marriage and rode to Augusta. It was a beautiful ride and Augusta was worth all the pedaling:) Our only suggestion would be to add more comfortable seating in the main room. It wasnā€™t a big deal but would have been extra nice when we sat down to watch TV that evening. Otherwise, everything was great! Loved the pizza place next door too!

It was a darling and very clean and comfy lil place and was part of the town which was different for us, we usually stay in more remote places. Everyone was friendly and we explored some of Missouri's Wine Country and also visited Washington, MO which we luv to go to and Marthasville is adorable too. We also liked that we were able to bring our 2 dogs with us! I would highly recommend Katy Haus for people to stay at. Next time we will bring our bikes it was a little too hot for that at this time.

The Katy was beautiful, and sparkling clean! It is an updated cottage with everything you need for a relaxing getaway. The shower and the whole house in fact is very accessible and roomy. The bed was very comfortable, the closet was large and the shower was amazing! We do not need ADA appropriate accommodations but as a nurse I noticed all the thought details where this cottage would be very comfortable for someone who does need it. I highly recommend staying here!

Unable to use exterior as needed and planned for my dogs. This made it very inconvenient and not frustrating. But inside of property and process was great. Do not recommend for person travelling with small dogs.
