Take a step back in time & relax at our charming vintage property on a large lot with lots of parking at the edge of town.

Has 1 Private Bedroom & 1 Open Loft Bedroom with optional curtain, plus 3 pull-out couches in LR. Sleeps 9.

Conveniently located to groceries, restaurants, & Laura Ingalls Wilder house & museum. 5 mi to Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Co, 8 mi to SMORR, & 12 mi to MFTA.

The space
The local railroad which is a large part of the history of our town runs along the bottom side of this 3 acre property. We are not bothered by it but need you to be aware of it. Town is a no whistle zone.
Guest access
The basement is locked and off limits. Otherwise, feel free to explore all the way around yard at your own risk, keeping in mind the hazards posed by the old foundation and crumbling basement on the property near Commercial Street.
Other things to note
Please be aware of safety issues regarding your children and our loft, loft ladder, front porch, and back deck. Climb our trees and explore our property at your own risk. There is an old foundation on the neighboring lot which we also own which could pose safety hazards.

Great place!

Very nice place! Comfy beds, great kitchen, two large full bathrooms, books and games, porches to sit and enjoy outdoorsā€¦so fortunate to find such a gem. Highly recommend!

Cutest House Ever

Absolutely loved the house. Owner was friendly. Amenities were immense. The decor was absolutely amazing. TV was easy to use. Will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Girls trip 2024

Originally came to see Laura Ingalla Widler homestead but didnt do our homework and it closed the weekend before we got there. But we had fun anyway. Not too far from Springfield. House was great just to hang out and play games and catch up. Will stay again when we come back to actually see homestead lol.

Good repore with the Host!

Ours was very unique situation. The weekend we were planning to stay is the same day Hurricane Helene hit. Unfortunately our host lived in the area of the damages and no electricity and her phone was dead. We were not able to reach each other. The property looked wonderful! She called me just as soon as she possibly could and let me know what happened. Very nice person and wanted to make sure we were able to get our full refund. I would recommend this host!

Great stop!

We recently attended the fall festival at Baker Seed Company in Mansfield. Heritage Guesthouse was perfect for myself and a girlfriend. The town is small and the area is quiet.The house itself took us back in time. Everything was clean, instructions were precise. Owners are in instant contact and access to the house was easy. We enjoyed drinks on the porch in the afternoon and coffee in the morning. Coming from Texas, the 50s Sunday morning were heaven. I had the bed in the master bedroom, and that mattress was šŸ’Æ!!

Mansfield House was great!

Fantastic stay! We needed one night in the area to visit our horses while at their trainer and this place was just perfect for us. The entire stay was awesome. Make sure to check out the local places too! We will be back when we take a few more horses down in the fall. 10 out of 10.

Girls Weekend Away

This was a Girls weekend away for Breast Cancer Event nearby. The house was perfect for the three of us, we were supposed to have 4 but she could not make it last minute. It worked out since there are only two actual beds. The other sleeping arrangements would have been on a sleeper sofa that we would have to put up and make up for the days we spent. We loved the front porch and spent a lot of time there. I will definitely be revisiting this property in the future!

Perfectly located comfy home

We loved our stay in Bentonville thanks to the adorable, perfectly located home we stayed in. The bike locker was actually a large empty low roof garage that was so great to put the toys including bikes in! The beds and bedding were awesome and we loved the big kitchen and added games. We simply cannot say enough GOOD things about the Heritage Guesthouse. If it is possible to find the right mix of convenient and private.... this rental fills the bill. There is a lot of room for everyone to spread out and still feel connected. RENT THIS!! You will love it.

Relaxing country staying

We stayed in Mansfield for our road trip to south with purpose visiting Baker creek and get a glimpse on country live Home was very enjoyable to stay in ,not only because it was clean, spacious with everything needed to be comfortable and located near local restaurants and grocery , it has unique lovely personality and nurturing caring vibe We loved being surrounded by antique items tastefully used to decorate this place - it makes you feeling like visiting with old friends and perfectly go with theme of our trip Thank you again!

Very Cute and Clean Home

We very much enjoyed our stay in Mansfield. The house was so quaint and cute. Visiting for the Laurel Ingalls Wilder home, it was so neat to stay in a house from the same time period. It had a nice mix of modern technology and historic charm. We could have happily stayed multiple days enjoying the puzzles and games provided. It was also one of the cleanest air b&bs I have ever stayed in. I didnā€™t mind walking around barefoot.
