When we first arrived in Lecco, we wondered if the hotel was a bit far out of the city, but in the end, with the views and the pleasure of the walk around the lake shore, we were convinced.
It looks a bit dilapidated from the outside when you approach, but the rooms are renovated to a really high standard, with individual Turkish bath devices and chromatherapy in the showers in the rooms.
The beds are amazingly comfortable and the balconies give you loads of outdoor space.
The barman had had to leave early when we got back from dinner, but the lady at reception happily brought us a nightcap outside on the terrace. We didn't eat in the restaurant.
