"Gorgeous old pub in a village setting. Lots of parking. The accommodation buildings are set apart from the pub, and our room was beautiful. Breakfast is served in the pub restaurant- but the landlord will deliver a jug of milk in the morning for use with the tea making facilities. Just make sure the sign outside your door is set to “yes please” for milk! No plastic in sight. We ate at the pub in the evening and the food and service were very good too. "

"A village inn in essence, bigger than expected, well looked after and clean with pleasant, helpful staff. Plenty of parking and quiet. Good bar choice and would stay there again. The only slight letdown was the Sunday roast lunch which was over-cooked and tasted and looked like it had been kept warm for hours. The other meals were adequate."

"We enjoyed a fabulous one night stay at Haveners. Room 2 was luxurious with a large comfy bed, beautifully decorated and a wonderful bathroom with rain head shower. It was just perfect with views of the quayside and water. Lovely to sit and watch the little Polruan ferry coming and going. The staff were amazing, it felt like a much loved family run business rather than a corporate concern. All staff were polite, friendly and helpful and always on hand. "Have stayed at the Ship a few times over the years so knew what to expect. Nothing has changed it’s an old building. Staff were excellent meal in the evening and breakfast next day were both good. Very central location "

"Great place for a family get together. Plenty of room to spread out. Hot tub and games room were well used. The house is bright, modern and comfortable. Some of the double bedrooms were smaller than expected but fine overall. Beds were very comfortable. It was useful to have extra living space in the annexe. The lounge there became a temporary home office. One downside-the dishwasher was not adequate for the number of people staying at full occupancy. We spent too much time at the kitchen sink....
