The property looks beautiful, nice public area. I did not like the smell in the bathroom (something reminiscent of sewage) and the "breakfast" - some fruit, coffee/tea and some packaged stuff without a possibility to sit down. Needless to say, we went somewhere else - a place we remember from the good old days when we lived in the area

Convenient to family

This hotel works very well for us as it is close to family and the price is reasonable. The staff is very friendly and willing to go the distance to help out. Retro looking property that is comfortable to stay at.

Nice little hotel near the downtown Los Gatos area

We spent the night here for a wedding nearby. The weekend traffic in the area is terrible so chose your route carefully and count on gridlock traffic in town. However, once you arrive and check-in, there is no need to drive anywhere for shopping or dining. The hotel and parking lot is small but adequate. The room was very clean with all the amenities you need. I would recommend this hotel for out-of-towners. I would stay here again.

Older hotel - rooms on a courtyard

Clean and comfortable and convenient location in Los Gatos. Nice courtyard. The breakfast is just fruit and snacks but was fine for us. Parking provided off street close to the rooms. We will return next visit.

Good value in Los Gatos

My wife and I attended a wedding near Ben Lomond and wanted to stay overnight in the general area after the reception. During peak season the hotel rates are ridiculously high, but the Garden Inn offered a room rate that was far less than half of the other options we could find. The inn has a nice feel to it, almost more like cottages than a conventional hotel or motel. We were in room 42 which was plenty spacious and even had a mini-office that was spacially separated from the main room. The room was clean and in very good condition. It was surprisingly quiet considering that Highway 17 is just a couple blocks away. The lobby is light and well organized and they even put out fruit, granola bars, etc. for light breakfast fare. There is off street parking up behind the inn itself. I would highly recommend the Garden Inn to anyone who is looking for reasonably priced, well maintained/managed accommodations in the Los Gatos area.

Can't beat the location for the price.

Stayed here while in town for a bridal shower and it was excellent! It is right in the middle of everything so you can walk to do it all. Parking is the only negative as the parking spaces are small and limited, but we managed. Clean comfy rooms and pretty grounds. Compared with the other local hotel prices, it is excellent. Highly recommended.

Located in the heart of downtown Los Gatos !

Great location, easy to find and has a parking lot in back. The rooms are modestly furnished which fits the price . I was delighted about the setting which was terraced patios,with a founatin and tile work. The rooms all have arched windows .

Stayed 4 days during Christmas week. Room was small, but clean and quiet. Staff were very helpful great affordable place to stay.

Worth repeating a stay here.

The location is excellent, the rooms and common areas are extremely clean and well maintained. I stay here once a year and will keep coming. The bathrooms are small....

REALLY NICE PLACE TO STAY

We like the town of Los Gatos, CA very much, have stayed there several times. This hotel is new to us, and we were glad to find it. The room was huge with a large fully-equipped kitchen which we didn't use, lovely large bathroom, the best bed I can remember sleeping in. (I am going to call the manager and ask what kind of mattress is in the room we had.) It is also very interestingly laid out in a series of courts,, all very pleasant. A great find--thanks Expedia.

Location, location, location!

I have stayed at this hotel for several years and it just keeps improving. Not for everyone as the bathrooms are small, but if you want to be close to cafes and shopping and walking trails, this one is hard to beat. I love the gated courtyard with patio tables.

Great location

Out son lives in Los Gatos and we stayed here while visiting him. The hotel is an older hotel and has been updated recently. It is located in downtown Los Gatos and is within easy walking distance to shopping and restaurants. It has a nice patio area for outdoor relaxing.

Cute hotel, great vibe.

I booked this hotel for work and was very pleasantly surprised when I showed up and had a great bungalow style room. The next morning I sat out on the patio and worked on my computer while enjoying the beautiful plants everywhere and comfortable seating. I loved it so much I booked a second night and will definitely be going back next time I am in town. The location is ideal and the atmosphere was very relaxing and helped me calm down after a stressful day working.

Great Location in Los Gatos

I've stayed at this small hotel a few times. It is located close to all the stores and the park in Los Gatos. The rooms are small, but comfortable and clean. The lobby always has coffee, and other amenities and the staff is friendly and helpful. Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio stayed there on their honeymoon which is quite cool. Los Gatos is a great Californian town and I will return to visit my son and stay at the Garden Inn again.
