"This was, by far, our favorite part of a long road trip! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The tents were wonderful and the view from the property is spectacular! We will definitely be back!!!"

"We stayed 5 days the house had almost everything you could possibly think of (no cookie sheet) It was very clean and it was so nice to sit on the deck and watch wildlife or stars at night. We visited the Shrine of the Stations of the Cross , The Great Sand Dunes and the Zappa Falls all within an hour drive while we were there."

"Beautiful property with comfortable beds and incredible views. Check-in was a breeze and owner worked with us on the check-in time. We loved the lack of WiFi, felt more like an escape (although cell service was strong if we needed anything). No dishwasher, which some might find off-putting, but not a problem for us. We thought it the perfect little cabin for a Colorado summer stay."

"Tub drain was a bit worn. Otherwise great value for a family of 5. Enjoyed this much more than our hotel stays. The kids could run around (supervised) and made some friends. Great layout in the cabin stocked kitchen so you could actually cook and an apartment sized fridge. It was a home away from home "

"This is our 3rd stay at “The Getaway.”It’s a wonderful place for all ages. If you need a break and place to reset from the daily grind this is the sanctuary to do so. We enjoy the quiet to read and reconnect with family on the porch over a cup of coffee or a meal at the table. Our family enjoys playing card or board games or walks down to the river. We always come home refreshed! Abby is a gracious host who provides an inviting atmosphere for all to enjoy! We look forward to returning this Fall."

"The cabin is spacious and well-equipped. We really enjoyed our stay. Don't try to google the address or you'll end up in the Brazos development to the South. I would suggest adding to the property directions to turn off Hwy 64 at County road 341. "

"This house was perfect for last getaway of the summer. The property had plenty of space for our two family’s and everything you need to cook. The wrap around deck was beautiful as were the views. We enjoyed fishing, were able to walk to disc golf course and enjoyed the town. The outside seating areas were enjoyed by all and can’t recommend this place enough. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The home was equipped with everything we needed, very spacious, clean and peaceful. We loved watching the stunning sunrise views over the mountains from the deck, stargazing from the swings, and exploring Great Sand Dunes NP, which was conveniently close by (less than 30 min drive). Kristen was very welcoming and responsive. Thanks for an awesome stay; we’d definitely come back!"

"This property is a gem! From the spices, cookware, dishes, and towels in the kitchen, to the extra pillows, blankets, cots, and air mattresses for the bedrooms, to the boards and sleds for fun at the Dunes, everything was clean and well-stocked. It's a very private spot, so our family was able to just enjoy the getaway and focus on each other without the distraction of needing or worrying about the property. "Spacious house with mountain views near Great Sand Dunes National Park. The town is tiny but not terribly far from larger towns with more amenities. We really enjoyed the space to spread out and proximity to the dunes. The house had large appliances and spacious kitchen and plenty of hot water. The gas range especially was a pleasure to use. "Wonderful stay, great location, loved the dunes and other Colorado attractions, the sunset from the porch is to die for! Maybe a few more things in the kitchen would be a good idea. All in all loved the home. "
