"It was a pretty decent stay at this place. Stayed for couple of nights with family. The only big town near the great sand dunes national park. The room was spacious enough and equipped with fridge and microwave. They had a city wide planned power outage on one of nights for 5 hours .But, was able to still sleep in since the weather was not too hot at night. Breakfast was okay. Closer to the street so can get louder at times. But, overall had a good stay. Surely recommend this place. "

"We love Cuchara. It is beautiful-one of the prettiest plays on Earth and the Inn is right in the heart of it with a beautiful stream outback and restaurants and shops nearby. Mike is a great host and always makes and serves a great breakfast. I highly recommend it. "

"The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate...

"The best night's sleep of our entire vacation! This hotel was a wonderful surprise. The staff were friendly - but not overbearing. The rooms were sparkling clean and fresh. The beds were soooo comfortable. The blackout curtains worked fantastically. AND it was quiet."

"Participated in the soft opening of the hotel (accidentally). Family owned. Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything is new apart from the antiques used to furnish the rooms (apparently collected over many years before they bought the hotel). Quaint and cozy remake of a prior hotel. Has a. bar (was a work in progress), porch on first (ground) floor and patio on the second floor (with fire pits and comfortable chairs).
