Longville cabin
It looks just like the photos. The large yard is beautifully maintained.The cabin contained everything we could have needed including kitchen, bathroom, and personal supplies, everything for the patio and grill. The owners thought of everything!

A restful retreat
A quiet and comfortable cabin on lakefront was the perfect Fall mini vacation. The weather was incredibly warm so we were happy to get out on the water in both the available canoe and paddle boat. The cabin contained all necessities and we enjoyed the down home atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Quiet getaway
Our second visit from Summer to Fall of this year. Beautiful Fall tree colors!. Very clean cabin well stocked above & beyond all your needs. Fire container can be moved anywhere within the expansive yard with ample firewood. Many nearby lakes for excellent fishing. Thank you Rick for your great communication. You are a super host! Look forward to our return!!

Serene Cabin
What a tranquil getaway location! The yard is very spacious and well maintained to include a beautiful wildflower garden to enhance the private setting. The dock was great as we brought our boat. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. The bed was amazingly comfortable. We enjoyed several fires during our stay. Great supply of wood! Wonderful hosts!!

Another wonderful stay
Our 5th stay at this cabin we had a peaceful getaway. Loved the wild flowers and butterflies in the yard. Watched a mother robin feeding her babies in a nest on top of the window air conditioner. Our favorite home away.

Feels secluded
Beautiful surroundings. Decorating style gave a fun cabin vibe. Walking paths short but filled with beautiful wild, native flowers and smelled fresh. Enjoyed all the monarch butterfles and variety of birds. Large supply of wood to make fire pit gazing enjoyable. One day of rain, but the cabin is comfortable and relaxing.

Slice of heaven
We stayed with our two pups. The home and yard were beautiful. Rick has everything with directions that you could need. Our pups loved the large yard and we enjoyed the deer, the loons the view of the lake,and lovely up North feel. We enjoyed the outdoors …. Picnic table and chairs ….. We so enjoyed our stay and appreciate you opening your home to us. We hope to come back soon.

Relaxing and fun
We were looking for a place that allowed pets, was away from the city lights and noise and where we could just relax and unwind. This place truly fit the bill. With the large yard our dog could run around, we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view of the lake. It was fun to take the paddle boat out and we even caught some good size northern pike. There was nothing that we could think of that wasn’t already there. In the town of Longville we were able the see the weekly turtle races that were enjoyed by all ages, and stopped by The Woodpile for a burger and a round of mini golf, we also had a great drink at Common Grounds coffee shop. We will be back!

Beautiful inside cabin and out!!
We will look forward to coming back. Completely felt welcoming. Really nicely set up and decorated inside cabin. The outdoors...deer visited every morning. mama duck on shore with her 11 ducklings. Great dock! Only complaint is hard to dock boat as so steep an embankment. But we really didn't need one afterall. Fish were at dock. Marge

Lovely cabin
We had a wonderful stay at this Boxell Lake cabin. It is clean, comfortable, and extremely well stocked. (I've stayed in vacation rentals where you are given a single roll of paper towels and dishcloth for the whole week and this was the complete opposite. They have thought of everything you might need and provided plenty of it!) The location is quiet yet close to town for activities (nice playground, mini golf, and shopping). We enjoyed fishing and paddling around the small lake, playing games on the lawn, and playing board games. It was so relaxing...just what we needed! And if this helps anyone, we thought the well water tasted just fine and had no need for bottled water.

The place is perfect for a get away for 2.
The cabin and grounds are absolutely perfect for a couple to get away, recharge and spend time together. Want to fish? Evenings, off the dock, bass, sunfish and northerns. We missed peak fall colors by a week but still caught some very amazing colors! I highly recommend this place! Never know you might even see a stick bug on the front door light like we did! Thank you for a great experience and a awesome place to enjoy!

Our stay
we so enjoyed our stay. WE are both elderly and it was the first time we have ever received complete instructions. about everything . We didn't have to call anyone for information. The cabin was very nice and clean and had everything we needed. The lake was small and quiet so we could paddle ourselves around. The trees were in full color. The yard was large and we could see the lake with all its beauty. . It was fun to read what others had written about their stay. It was perfect for us. Thank you for making every thing so easy for us. It was our first get away since the start of covid. Rick are you the owner or just the manager? The cabin was well thought out when built. Blessings and I hope we can return in the summer. I dont' know how far in advance we need to make arrangements. Our family helped us find this. Blessings Sherrie and dave

My friend and I had a great stay with our dogs. Cass County is absolutely stunning! The cottage is small but very comfortable, extremely clean and well stocked. I brought sheets to cover the furniture to keep dog hair off but they had even thought about that and supplied coverings. We were warned about cell service and no internet beforehand but we had four bars just outside on the patio. The cottage has one bedroom with a really comfortable queen bed. The couch in the main room has a sofa bed, which as you might assume a sofa bed to be, not comfortable. My friend ended up just sleeping on the couch itself and said that he was comfortable.. The cute little town of Longville has anything you might need. Walker (on Leech Lake) is about 25 minutes away and has even more to offer. We ordered a delicious pizza from Benson's. Sitting out on the Lake watching our dog swim was so much fun and so relaxing. We loved watching all the hawks soaring.. We used the paddleboat and they also have a canoe and rowboat. Three nights was not enough!

Relaxing Lakeside Vacation
Our time spent at the cabin was great! Very relaxing. We enjoyed fishing and kayaking on the lake and walking around the well-kept property. The many oak trees and wildflower garden are beautiful! The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and was very clean. Our dog loved it too!

Perfect get away!
We loved this place so much we didn’t want to leave! The cabin was perfect for my significant other, my 12 year old brother, myself, and our two large dogs. We had the entire lake to ourselves during our stay and caught so many fish. We used the paddle boat a ton, enjoyed a couple bonfires, and achieved what we went there for - total relaxation! We will definitely be back!

Great place
This was the best stay. Great location. Fished every day from the paddle boat, caught a lot of Crappie, panfish and a few Bass. This place had everything you would need as far as supplies. Great communication from Rick. Would definitely stay again.

Loved the property and cabin
My 34 year old nephew from St Cloud stayed Saturday night. Found everything we needed for preparing breakfast and grilling later on. The next 2 nights my dog and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. She is blind. I normally always have her on leash outside. The yard was so big I let her wander around off leash in my sight. She loved it. I was worried about fireworks because it was the 4th of July. Peaceful! I loved the flower garden. I do not fish - but if you do you would love the advice on where the best fishing spot is. Also the paddle boat and canoe. I finished reading one book and started another - mostly enjoying the weather and property outside. But inside the cabin is great. I enjoyed how it was decorated. Can tell fishing is an important part of the owners' lives.

Best get away
Even with the weather being erratic. It was such a wonderful time. Had a friend need somewhere to go so they stayed one night and were in awe. Cannot wait to rent this cute little cabin again but add some more friends.

This place had everything we needed for our little getaway. We spent every afternoon sitting on the lawn chairs, grilling dinner, and enjoying the peace and quiet. We have two golden retrievers, and they loved running around the huge yard and swimming in the lake. We really enjoyed that they had a paddle boat for us to use. We took it out more than once to explore around the lake. The owner was awesome with his communication during our stay to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy ourself.

Perfect Getaway Spot
We loved staying here. It was quiet and although you can vaguely see neighbors on either side through the trees, the neighbors were quiet so we got to enjoy the sounds of nature just like we wanted. We loved sitting out around the fire star-gazing each night with our dog. The bed was comfy and the cabin was the most well-equipped I’ve ever stayed in. The thermocell mosquito repeller that Rick left for us worked wonders. There was even a mandolin and disposable coolers plus ice packs you could take. They truly thought of everything here. I also loved their movie collection! The cabin is secluded, yet super conveniently close to town also. We had breakfast at the Turtle Town Cafe and drinks and pizza at The Docksider. There are some other little shops and a grocery store (great selection overall, but over-priced compared to in the cities or St Cloud). Be mindful that hours and days open in town really vary. The cabin is the best spot to be anyway ;)

DECOMPRESSION!
A beautiful retreat in a rural setting, yet close to town for any needs. Rick and Candy (your hosts) have gone out of their way to make visitors feel welcome. The grounds are inviting, the lake is filled with fish and despite the "invasion of the Minnesota mosquito" thanks to recent rains, we found just what we wanted and needed...Peace, Quiet, Relaxation and a week of total Decompression.

Amazing cabin with great fishing and all the ammenities
Cabin has everything you need for a good time. Probably one of the most thought out vacation rentals we have done, had everything you might need/want from cooking utensils to outdoor accessories. We used the paddle boat everyday and caught loads of fish never took the canoe out but it looked nice. Weather was great for October and there is so much to do in the area. Feels like your way off in the middle of nowhere at the cabin but town is only a short 5 minute drive. The lake only has maybe 5 cabins on it and we had it to ourselves everyday the whole 7 days we where there. Best vrbo experience to Date. Will deffintaley be coming back in the future.

Great little lake home
Nice secluded lake home with great fishing dock and paddle boat. They think of everything you need! Lots of pan fish and Bass in the lake. Beautiful place to get away from all the stress of life and relax and refresh.
