I will try and give a balanced review. The apartment is not located next to the airport as advertised. It is about 1.5 kms. They advertise having a 24 desk. They do not.
The apartment is located in a regular apartment building on the ground floor. When you call the number to the hotel you are connected to an answering machine with a message only in Portuguese. Even though I left messages no one responded. The only form of communication is through text messaging or through the Hotels.com site - which apparently does not always function.
Our shuttle to the airport did not arrive as the hotel stated they did not receive my message to confirm the shuttle. Although, in fact, I did receive a reply back through Hotels.com. This necessitated my husband and I walking with our luggage to the airport at 2:30 am. Not how I wished to end my Holiday in Portugal.
The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. The outside of the building was littered with garbage, but was in a safe location. It was close to grocery stores and the metro. Unfortunately, the buses and metro do not run all night, so you have to rely on a taxi or shuttle to get to the airport.
It would be helpful if the owners would include English as part of their voice messaging or leave the phone number for taxis in the information book left in the hotel.
