"We have stayed here several times over the years as our daughter attended Lancaster University. This has always been our “Go To” place and has never disappointed.
It is clean and tidy and has everything you need for a short visit. Our daughter has now graduated, but I am sure we will be back in the future and look forward to coming back to The Royal."

"We stayed at The Fleece for a couple of nights. Our welcome as a pleasant professional one, despite the bar and restaurant being busy. Our room and the linen was very clean, and although quite warm, there was a fan provided that did the trick. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good, and the breakfast, which was included, was delicious. Lovely beer garden/ courtyard to enjoy a relaxing beer. All in all an excellent stay and we wouldn’t hesitate staying here again. Thanks to...

"What a delightful cosy rooms with showerrooms. Comfortable beds, with well insulation blinds/ curtain for the strong summer sun. Room was copl at night, and good bathroom facilities.
We were going to be late, and staff rang to check on our progress. Staff waited until we arrived and showed us our rooms.
Breakfast was included but the choice and want we were entitled too was a not clear. Cooked breakfast meals very delicious and tasty."
