Nice Rural Setting
This was a nice place to stay away from the city. The rural setting, birds, and wildlife made resting up from a day of being a tourist easy. Getting to points of interest was simple and LaBelle has good restaurants and shopping for anything you need or forgot. Beverly is very pleasant and quick to resolve any issues - it's nice having her right on the property.

Zero Communication
I was very excited to stay in this cottage and fish in the pond on the property. The cottage is cute, clean, comfortable and well appointed like everyone says. I used both the outdoor kitchen and fire pit. The tame deer were amazing and the border collie very sweet. Also enjoyed watching the cows. Very peaceful. My issues involve communication. I reached out to Beverly via VRBO the week before my stay to let her know (as requested) I’d like to fish in her pond. I never got a response. When I arrived at the cottage I found it unlocked. I went in, connected to WiFi and texted Beverly to let her know I was there. No response. I texted 45 minutes later and said I was running out for supplies. No response. When I returned she was out in the yard and gave a half hearted wave. I figured for sure she’d come introduce herself while I was unloading. Nope. I felt awkward at this point. The next morning I tried calling twice and couldn’t get through. I also sent another text. No response. I’d come to fish in the pond, which by the way is on the other side of Beverly’s house and not even visible from the cottage, and didn’t feel comfortable fishing outside someone’s house where I wasn’t welcome. I found other places to fish. I left this morning, and this afternoon got a text from Beverly saying sorry, her phone’s been down. If that was the case, why not stop by to meet me, leave a note, respond to email or send smoke signals? I would’ve loved to have the same experience as others.

Absolutely peaceful
This beautiful place is old time Florida. Majestic Oaks with tons of Spanish Moss, hearing owls in the evening, feeding the deer, talking to the cows, I was in heaven. House was perfect for my daughter and I. If you need a break from life, this is it.

A serene getaway
What a perfect escape. I spent 4 nights and was just what I needed to disconnect from the hectic routine of day-to-day in Miami. Accommodations were comfortable (bed was magnificent), clean, and well appointed. The environment was perfect for enjoying solitude. My little dog loved it, and actually made a friend with Riley. I can't wait to return.

I am a native Floridian. For many years, I have grown more and more discouraged at the out-of-control growth in our state. Our visit to the King Ranch filled me with joy to see that “old Florida” still exists in some places! The cottage is lovely. It is immaculate and very comfortable, especially the dual seats reclining couch and the large bed! We so appreciated the snacks, bottled water, and Keurig coffee available for us upon our arrival. We really enjoyed looking at the photo books of Beverly’s rescue animals. While we did not utilize the outdoor kitchen, it is an amazing space, and given the opportunity to return, we would definitely take advantage of it. The property is lovely. What a delight to have four deer sleeping in the yard a short distance from our front door! We also enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching all of the raccoons enjoy their dinner! It made our hearts happy to be in a place that is so wonderfully cared for by a person who clearly has a nurturing spirit for God’s creatures! If you are looking for a beautiful example of “old Florida”, a quiet, peaceful retreat, I highly recommend Beverly’s cottage!

New years stay

Rural hideaway in Southwest Florida
Beverly's cottage is exceptional. Fully stocked with just about anything and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Immaculately clean. It is clear Beverly has prioritized the comfort of her guests. And then there is the property itself. I'm a nature nerd so was thrilled with the treefrogs, deer, a flying squirrel, owls calling after dark, and of course, Beverly's raccoons. Know that the raccoons that Beverly supports on her property do not bother you. If you wish, Beverly will invite you to see them in the evening. If not, you likely won't know they are there. In short order I grew to really like this setting. If you crave privacy, nature and space to roam this is it.

Perfect Retreat
Was playing on VRBO map looking for a place within few hour’s driving range to be off the grid, in nature, quiet, away from people and found this gem. It was a perfect weekend get away and the balance I was looking for as my daily life is go go go. Beverly is an amazing host, sweet, great with communication. The house was just right but I spent most my weekend in the outdoor hammock and cooked in the kitchen outside. One morning strolled out with my coffee and 5 of her deer came running up to say hi. There is no cell service, thank god. My friends and family know I ignore my phone anyways but this was easier to just be unreachable outside my means. If you’re looking for a place to slow down and reset this is the property. Few days after my stay and still feeling at peace and smiling. Thank you Beverly great place!

Beautiful cabin and property
My wife and I loved the place. Very clean and spacious with excellent amenities. Both indoor and outdoor kitchens, both well outfitted. Comfy bed (I prefer firmer, and it was plush but not saggy). Host was very responsive and flexible, and brought us ice from town. We got to pet her deer, Goldie Fawn.

Beverly was 100% the best hostess! My mother, her friend and myself stayed here and we didn't want to leave. It was very clean, very quite and of course the beautiful deer and raccoon she has on her property. We can't thank Beverly enough for the wonderful experience we will have for a lifetime!

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! True Disconnect!
If you are looking for a place to get away from the city, day-to-day life, & disconnect then stop your search & book your trip right now! We were "truly" able to disconnect, relax, & this is exactly what we were searching for but Beverly's place blew past our expectations. We absolutely loved every minute of our stay & wish we could have stayed longer. It wasn't just us who enjoyed our time but our 3 dogs loved it. They had such a great time they are still sleepy & it's been two days since we returned. Property is so large we never put our dogs on a leash & they were entertained the entire time running all over the property watching. Outdoor kitchen (oven, fridge, freezer, grill) is impressive & FULLY loaded w/ everything you need. Fire-pit was so awesome & they had plenty of firewood to keep the fire flowing strong all night. House itself was unexpectedly wonderful & perfect as we thought we were going to a "country" house to sacrifice the comfort/luxuries of home & it was the complete opposite! It's very clean & fully stocked with everything you need for a short or long term stay. King size bed was extremely comfortable. Beverly's commitment to nature & animals. One night we met her at the shed & she gave us a tour of the back of her property & when all the raccoons came out to feed. It was something we've never experienced before & it was such a great experience. Could go on & on about how wonderful this vacation was hopefully this inspires you to book this place!

Relaxing Retreat
My husband and I and our dog had a wonderful time staying at Beverly's beautiful country ranch. We loved being surrounded by nature. The birds, the trees, the cows, feeding Goldie and Fiona, the fabulous outdoor kitchen... Everything was exceptional! We relaxed and recharged in the peaceful surroundings. We look forward to returning.

Peace and quiet
We came here to unwind and have a peaceful place. This place did not disappoint. Located in quiet area and a great setting. Property owner easy to reach and very friendly. Loved having an outdoor kitchen, animals on the property, and a quiet road to walk in the mornings. We would definitely stay here again.

quiet place to relax
the home was a great place to relax .the out door kitchen was such a great place to hang out .goldie the deer came everyday to visit and have some fruit loops. the only draw back was the smell from the water it made the house smell like rotten eggs. i think maybe adding more filters to the water system could fix it

Excellent hide away
This property is about 10 miles from town, and nice a quiet. You have visitors for sure, 5 steers, a few deer and a friendly dog. The starts are bright at night. The cottage is wonderful with comforts like a king size bed, sofa with recliners, a porch, a full service outside kitchen and plenty of TV channels along with good WiFi. I will be back.

Quiet and Serene
The one-bedroom cottage is modern, clean and well-equipped. We enjoyed a nice fire during the evening and drinking coffee in the morning on the covered porch. We enjoyed visits from the deer, Fiona and Gloria, including the cows on the other side of the fence. This is a tranquil location far away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to Fort Myers.

Beautiful ranch
We loved the peace and quiet at the ranch. It is far from everything, but close enough(15-min drive) to grocery stores and restaurants. The place is clean and well equipped and Beverly answered all of our questions. We got to feed the racoons and the deer and watch the cows graze peacefully. Our two dogs had a blast running around, so overall, we enjoyed our week in the "wilderness".

Our much needed disconnect

Country life!
What a relaxing and wonderful stay! We wanted to get out of the city to escape the hustle and bustle and we found it! Stepping outside in the morning is a beautiful sight! The outdoor kitchen is a great spot to hang out, relax in the hammock, and enjoy a grilled meal. The animals are wonderful as well. The are cows all around, roosters crowing in the distance, and a few rescue animals to enjoy. This was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be visiting again.

Serenity at the ranch

Cottage on Ranch
Sweet little house on a small ranch 20 miles east of I-75, north of the Caloosahatchee. We went to get away from hurricane Ian, which was a perfect place to do just that. In case of storms, the roadway floods. W3 had a 4-wheel drive which lifts, so friend of host directed us out. Would come again in better times.

Anniversary Celebration
The ranch is peaceful and beautiful. We celebrated our anniversary there and it was just what we wanted. The cottage and the outdoor kitchen has everything one would need. Beverly's attention to detail was much appreciated by us. We saw the animals which are very well cared for and loved by Beverly. The ranch is a little piece of paradise here on earth. It's definitely worth a visit if it appeals to you. Thank you Beverly for making our stay and enjoyable one.

A wonderful getaway
Beverly’s place is serene, quiet, comfortable, and well appointed. It was fun to be greeted by the curious deer in the mornings. We enjoyed using the outdoor kitchen for making and eating dinner. We will definitely be returning!

Remote Old Florida Heaven
The property was as described. Located in a beautiful remote location which was our desire to avoid city fireworks. While there were still fireworks they were not right on top of us. Beverly could not have been kinder. We texted several times prior to arrival and she was super sweet and addressed our concerns! The process/communication was flawless. The house was perfect for two people. Comfy bed and recliners. Perfect sized indoor kitchen as well as an outdoor kitchen where we spent most of our time. We thought with the standing water on the property we would have been eaten by mosquitos, but a little OFF spray and they left us alone. Our first morning, we were visited by Goldie Fawn and her baby (assuming Kate Hudson - HA!) and fed them cookies. What a great experience. If you're looking for a little bit of old Florida in a remote setting for some peace and relaxation, this is the place! Thanks to Beverly for opening her home to renters!

Paradise!
Oh my goodness! What an amazingly healing property! My husband and I came here to rest, relax, and rejuvenate and we got all that and more! Beverly is a caring, loving soul who puts 110% into everything she does. It shows in the care of her property, her communication, and the love she has for all beings. Although we had to leave early for a business obligation and didn’t get to meet her rescued babies, we were so delighted to have Goldie Fawn visit us every morning and evening. I LOVED feeding her! We will definitely be back to visit just as soon as we can! Infinity stars for this place!

An Experience You Won't Forget!
This was a wonderful experience! The moment we pulled up, we were greeted by the lovely Bella one of her beautiful dogs. It was a pleasure and much needed unplug from the daily grind of city life. Beverly was a great host, with tons of knowledge about her raccoons. From feeding the baby rescues (the power puff girls) and trekking out to the raccoon treehouse with Toni Two-Tone always by our side for the adventure, it was just amazing! Waking up to roosters and cows, instead of cars and sirens was a welcome change. The outdoor BBQ and hammock was well used by us! The icing on the cake was getting to feed miss Goldie Fawn, whom we saw nightly. We are already thinking about coming back!
