We initially booked this property & were excited to find an oceanfront condo at an affordable price.
Unfortunately, we ultimately got far less than we paid for.
After an 18-hour travel day, we arrived at the property shortly before 10:00 PM. The check-in process was smooth.
However, upon entering the unit, our experience took a turn for the worse. We immediately noted that the bathroom had not been adequately cleaned: the toilet had been used & not flushed; there were clumps of hair in the shower drain; & there was sand in the shower grout. Though the remainder of the unit appeared clean, the unhygienic state of the bathroom raised concerns about the bedding and kitchen. Given the late hour & long day, we decided that it was not feasible to wait for the property manager to re-sanitize the unit & made alternative plans for our first night.
Early the next morning, we sent a message through VRBO & emailed the property manager in an effort to work out a solution. And then...silence.
We heard nothing from either the owner of the unit or the property management company for over 48 hours.
Despite our time-stamped photos demonstrating the state of the unit, the owner insinuated we were lying about its condition. He acknowledged receipt of our message the morning it was sent but failed to follow up with us for over two days. No apology or refund was offered.
We cannot overstate Dan's lack of professionalism and poor customer service. Book this unit at your own risk.
