Escape to paradise in this lovely bayfront Key Colony Beach retreat! Right by the canal with its very own 35-foot dock space and access to the local Cabana Club, this home will be the best vacation home base you ever imagined. The quaint town of Key Colony Beach offers perfect beach living for everyone. Catch a charter and go find some dolphins, or rent some scuba gear and seek out some colorful fish. Fishing is also big in these parts, so grab a rod or two and catch your dinner! Enjoy access to the local Cabana Club with a shared pool, private beach access, and a lounge/wet bar.

The small-town atmosphere of Key Colony Beach is charming and welcoming. Since the town is so compact, you'll have no issues navigating to parks and restaurants. Being right by the canal will make your vacation feel extra relaxing (please note that this rental is one-half of a duplex.).

Set in neutral tones, this home's living room offers plush seating and tons of natural light. You'll feel right at home with access to cable and WiFi. The completely renovated kitchen will prove perfect for chefs and non-chefs alike. With designer countertops, a dishwasher, and stainless steel appliances, it is upscale but comfortable. Outside on the deck is a gas grill for barbecues.

There are even laundry facilities available for your convenience.

Dock details: The dock is 35' in length.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Canal Front Gem!

Check in was extremely easy and home was as advertised. Very clean, great location, well stocked, and very spacious. Overall, another great experience in paradise!One recommendation would be beach chairs and a couple fishing poles.

We stayed here for three weeks. We were very pleased with the house and amenities. It was very well stocked. It was freshly painted and new outdoor furniture on the upper porch. It wouldā€™ve been nice to have lounge chairs on the lower patio. But that wasnā€™t a a big dealIt is in a great location. We went to the Cabana Club several times

We were here for spring break in a group of 7 total. 4 adults and 3 kids. First, i would like to say that the pictures do not do justice to this place. The house is not brand new, but really cozy and plenty of space. The kitchen is great and extremely well equipped, one of the better ones we had in years of renting vacation homes. The dining area and seating area are great for families and groups. The balcony overlooking the canal is really nice for morning coffee. The master bath is huge with two showers and two sinks, very clean as well. You can park your car under the house and keep it close by. The gas grille worked great and there were two propane tanks. The location itself is really good, KCB is a really popular location for locals and tourists, but also really quiet and away from traffic. There are plenty of places for morning walks (very popular around here, lots of walking traffic in the morning). The neighborhood is beautiful and everyone if very friendly. It is really easy in and out and not far at all from major things like grocery store, only about 4 miles to two major ones. Let me explain clearly how the sleeping arrangements are: there are two bedrooms, and both have queen size beds. There is a queen-size pull-out couch in the living room and a futon on the mezzanine. So, 7 is the maximum they can accommodate UNLESS you have very small children, BUT keep in mind that the futon is located upstairs on the mezzanine with steep stairs to go up and down.Beds squeek

Six weeks in paradise.

Our stay for the six weeks period was a wonderful break from upstate New York winter weather. The home was immaculate when we arrived. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with every thing you could need to put a meal on the table. The bedroom linens, though, could use some help. With two bedrooms and a pullout couch there should be more than just two sets of sheets. Had to purchase a set for the couch so it could be used. And perhaps a cozy throw or two might help when the a.c. kicks on. What we really found lacking was some folding chairs to take to the beaches when we went. They also would be handy when Key Colony offered their concerts on Sundays. I am not talking about the ones that are very close to the ground. We are not as bendy as we used to be. Other than these suggestions we loved the house and already have reserved it for next winter. Time went very quickly and we are making plans for some new adventures next year.

Anniversary Trip

We have stayed in Key Colony several times for our Anniversary. This house was very clean , well stocked and I loved the balcony views . There wasnā€™t any TVs in the bedrooms but definitely not a big deal . This was by far one of the nicer homes . We brought our boat and fished everyday and went to the Sandbar after . If you like BBQ , Porkys had the best . Highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway

Wonderful House and Location

This house was very nicely upgraded and provided all the things that were needed for an extended stay. The location was within walking distance to the Cabana Club, although having a bike for the commute was worthwhile. The only thing unclear in the property advertisement was the sleeping arrangements for the 6 people. The loft had a futon large enough from 1 person and there was a pull-out couch in the living room.

No A/C and other issues

Our week vacation started of great. House was nice, clean, and well equipped as described. On the third night we came back from dinner and the AC wasnā€™t working. Temp was 81. Called vacasa and they said a tech would be there at 8am. Tech arrived at noon. He pulled out the filters and they looked as if they hadnā€™t been changed in 6 months, packed full of dust. Tech was there maybe 20 minutes and left. We went out on the boat and came back. Temp in house now 85. Called vacasa, they sent 3 portable AC units over. The portable units helped but just couldnā€™t keep up. There was also an issue with the fridge. Freezer door wouldnā€™t shut properly. I also told vacasa about that. They said their tech checked it and it was fine. The seal was coming apart on top of the door preventing it from shutting properly. They need to find a new tech if this guy couldnā€™t see that. We had to keep a towel on the floor to catch the water dripping from freezer. The place needs a little updating but not bad though. Toilet seat in master bath could be changed, itā€™s old and stained from cleaners being used, not very appealing. To many cooking utensils in kitchen, no free cabinet space to put anything you bring with you. Weā€™re a pretty easy going family so it all didnā€™t ruin our vacation, we still had fun. I know things happen and HVAC systems stop working, I just wish it didnā€™t happen during our stay.

Great locaction to restaurants, getting to the ocean from the dock was quick and easy, nice wide canal view and the kitchen is supplied with everything you'd need as if it were your own kitchen from home.

Very well equipped property

This was the most well equipped facility that we've used and we've used many! The unit was pretty clean and comfortable. The only issues we had were the bed in the master sagged in the middle because the support beam was not attached and the heat went out the last couple days (when it was actually needed) and was not able to be fixed before we left.

Great Stay

The property was in good condition though the furniture seemed a bit dated. Standup shower had very low water pressure. But we were able to use the shower in the tub. Concrete patio upstairs needed attention -- cracking and pieces missing. Upon arrival most of the neighbors were friendly with the exception of a household directly across the canal. They seemed more interested in displaying their political leanings versus enjoying the moment. However, we enjoyed the stay. We contacted management for additional towels and they responded promptly. Our intention was to relax and also do some bridge fishing. This location was great for that. Next time we will bring a boat as the canals offer great access to offshore fishing if the weather permits. We would definitely go back again.

Good location for a week in the Keys

Good location. The AC works great and the new kitchen is great for meals in. We enjoyed fishing on the dock and watching the boat traffic. Next time we would rent a boat for a few days. It looked like all of our ā€˜neighborsā€™ did. Could use some updating and a few amenities like some beach chairs.

Relaxing with a view

It was a wonderful stay and the view for coffee in the morning was calming and peaceful. The house was tidy and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking needs. The master bed was comfortable but it was said that the guest bed was a little on the hard side. Really nothing negative to say. We are easy to please and found everything we needed. Nice little town Marathon. We hope to return.

The house was nice, clean, and roomy. We were also happy to see a deep freezer down stairs as I found no mention of it under amenities. We did feel the kitchen was over stocked with utensils which left little room for groceries.
