Location, Location, Location! Come make some memories in this charming cottage located just steps from downtown. You'll be close enough to everything but far enough to enjoy a relaxing trip. This lovely cottage has everything you need. A bedroom with 2 Queen beds and 1 sofa sleeper in the living room. Full kitchen with everything needed to prepare home-cooked meals. Spectacular view of the southern Utah sunrise and sunset.
The space
Located in downtown Kanab with a variety of shops and restaurants just a hop, skip and jump from your front door. Recharge in our cute and cozy 1 bed, 1 bath cottage with high ceilings and tons of natural light. Just a block from downtown Kanab, you can enjoy taking evening strolls around town. Our home is furnished with 2 queen beds and one sofa sleeper.

Upon entry, you'll notice the tasteful decor. Sit, drink, chat, and relax in the cozy living room. Pop some popcorn and put on a late-night movie on the large TV.

The kitchen is fully equipped and stocked to be your culinary home away from home. Gather around the dining table to unwind and relax after a busy day whether it's work or play.

The large, tranquil bedroom boasts 2 Queen beds. Snuggle up in the comfy bed for a movie night and awake refreshed and ready for a day of exploring! The living room has a sofa sleeper to accommodate extra guests.

Take a refreshing shower in the ensuite bathroom which is stocked with bathroom essentials including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
Don't go home with a suitcase full of dirty clothes, be sure to use our washer & dryer to get those clothes sparkling clean before departure!

The big, shady backyard is a lovely retreat. With lush green grass and large trees overhead, you and your family will love spending time here. Across the yard, you'll find an old sheep camp wagon and fish pond. This grassy area is shared with our two connecting properties, Grammie's Manor and Grammie's Casita, be sure to check them out, to enjoy the grounds exclusively and accommodate 14 additional guests! The Neighborhood:
Located in the heart of downtown Kanab! Kanab is a quiet, small, picturesque town. A short walk to Center Street (aka Highway 89) will provide a pleasurable evening stroll past unique shops, restaurants, and a trip down Hollywood's Western Legends past.

There's plenty to do with state and national parks nearby, but if you're looking for something more low-key for a day or two, consider the local hikes featured on the flyers in our house book: Squaw, Bunting and K-hill, all offering wonderful views. As well, Jacob Hamblin park has a playground, field, pool with slides, splash pad, and tennis/pickleball courts; Kanab City Library is nearby and often has books for sale; Ranchos Park has great baseball fields; Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has great guided tours (they welcome donations). Also consider the local restaurants, bakeries, and ice cream shops. We love some of the local tour companies; they can make your travel time far more productive and enjoyable. Many of them even offer early morning pick-ups from Kanab.

Equestrian and biking trails are also available.

Getting Around:
This home is downtown and has convenient access to Hwy 89A/89 which takes you to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, Zion and Bryce National Parks, Lake Powell, as well as the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

Here in southern Utah, a vehicle is required to get around in town and beyond. We recommend a 4WD vehicle with high clearance if you intend to go off-road to out-of-the-way places.

Page, AZ airport is 1 hour away; St. George, UT airport is 1.5 hours away; Las Vegas airport is 3 hours away.

Kanab is situated in the "Grand Circle" area and known as the "Hub of the Parks", centrally located among Zion National Park (30 miles), Bryce Canyon National Park (76 miles), the Grand Canyon (North Rim - 80 miles). You can also visit Pipe Springs National Monument (21 miles), the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument (15 miles), Vermilion Cliffs National Monument (77 miles), Coral Pink Sand Dunes (20 miles), Kodachrome Basin (93 miles), Lake Powell/Glen Canyon Recreation Area (75 miles), the "Wave"/Paria Wilderness (50 miles), Horseshoe Bend (77 miles), Cedar Breaks National Monument (65 miles) and so much more. Please note mileage is approximate and may vary by a few miles.

Enjoy your dream vacation in Kanab, also known as "Little Hollywood"! Dozens of Western movies were made here and every August, we have Western Legends, where you can meet some of your favorite old stars. It also features the High Noon Parade (with Longhorn cattle), Country Battle USA (great music!), Cowboy Poetry, a terrific vendor fair, a rodeo, and much more - not to mention yummy food! 1. Flattop grill in Casita may be rented for a small fee of $20/day. Please request this charge be added to your reservation 72+ hours prior to your stay. Propane will be unlocked to the grill for the stays who have paid the grill rental. Guests who use the grill without including it in their reservation will be charged the $20/day fee, $50 cleaning fee, and an additional $100 maintenance fee. A $50 fee will be charged to guests who reserve the grill if it is left dirty, or grease left in the grease trap. If you need instructions on how to clean these items, please refer to the detailed instructions included in the guest book.

3. PETS: As mentioned, our home is pet-friendly. Please note there is a pet fee if you plan to bring them. Dog breeds must be approved before booking. Pets must be in cages while in the home, no exceptions. Pets are NOT allowed to be unattended in the homes at any time, please understand and respect our policy. Outside they need to remain on the property, and be on a leash or in a cage if there are other guests besides your party. Please 100% clean up after your pets both inside and out. $150 extra cleaning fee for excessive pet hair. Any additional excessive cleaning needed will be charged to the party who booked the reservation.
