Secluded Mountain Retreat - Little Canoe

Welcome to Little Canoe, your secluded mountain house escape located in the gated community of Big Canoe which is a premium destination in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. Little Canoe is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view at 2400 foot elevation, or explore the beautiful scenery nearby.

This house has plenty of natural light with an enormous wall floor to ceiling windows. Fast Windstream WIFI throughout the house. Plenty of board games for the family.

Big Canoe is conveniently located 25 minutes from downtown Jasper, Ball Ground, 40 minutes from Ellijay, and less than an hour to Blue Ridge. There are several wineries nearby to explore as well.

RESORT PERKS (add'l fee may apply, paid on-site): Golf course, tennis court, pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, outdoor and indoor pool, hiking trail network, lake access w/ paddle boats, pontoon boats, kayaks, stand up paddleboards and beach, fitness center, shopping and dining, playground. Activities in Big Canoe such as golf, tennis, fitness center, swimming, etc. have additional cost associated with them.

PLEASE NOTE - MOTORCYLCES, RV'S AND BRINGING YOUR OWN GOLF CART ARE NOT ALLOWED IN BIG CANOE
You will need to provide us with the names of your guests before your visit so we can register them with the gates. It is very important this is provided to prevent delays with entrance to the community and booking amenity reservations. The roads in Big Canoe have an incline but they are paved and maintained, so all vehicles can navigate. Little Canoe is located at 2400 ft. elevation, and so we recommend grocery shopping on your way to the property. The POA at Big Canoe is very strict about guests following all the rules and regulations of the community. Please be courteous to homeowners and the area: no speeding, loud music, and noise past 10 pm. Following the rules will allow short-term rentals to continue for everybody’s enjoyment. Must be 21 to book this property.

Perfect Place

This is a lovely home with everything that you need. Lots of small touches that are wonderful. I loved the screened in porch...large bedrooms too. It is a drive up to the place from the gate but the more we did the easier it seemed. Plenty of parking.... owners are a pleasure to work with. Golf was expensive at Big Canoe, but it is a great course and the owner made up a list of other courses to try in the area.

Little Canoe

Little Canoe is a very nice property, it 100% lived up to the description on the website. It was very clean, well appointed, and everything was in great working order. The property is away from the hustle and bustle of large cities yet close enough to anything you would need. We found our stay there to be peaceful and relaxing. We made some day trips into Atlanta and some of the smaller towns and always welcomed the return to peace and quiet when we got back to the house. There was plenty of space in the house for us to spread out and not be in each other's way. It was an excelent choice for our family vacation. 5 star evrrything!

Great place to stay

Our family needed an escape to the N Georgia mountains and this property did not disappoint. Communication with Scott was great - Very responsive! The neighborhood, while a little ways from stores etc, has abundant trails and wildlife and the kids loved getting to hike each day without even leaving the neighborhood. Would book again!

Amazing Trip!

I cannot say enough great things about this property and the Walkers. This property is by far the nicest and cleanest property we have ever stayed in. The Walkers have not missed a detail getting the place ready to make memories in. They were quick to respond to questions and very forward with information about the property. We went for a long weekend with 7 people (2 Families) and we made memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for the beautiful place to stay!

Welcome to your home away from home!

My family and I had an amazing time at Little Canoe! Scott and Shannon are great hosts! The home has everything you will need. We loved playing the board games and sitting out on the porch having quality time. The area has so much to offer as well. Scott and Shannon truly gave us a 5 star experience.

Great house!

Scott and Shannon were amazing hosts! They were so responsive to any of our questions, and were willing to do whatever was needed. The cabin was in great condition and well-appointed. We were very comfortable there. I think they thought of everything, so we were right at home! Our kids will have a fond memories of their trip to Little Canoe! Thanks again and we would highly recommend this cabin.

Bliss

The home is beautiful and was the perfect setting for our retreat. The listing photos are nice but you have to see this one for yourself. The home has beautiful treetop views. I have stayed in Big Canoe before (by the marina) and this home is higher up, so we did have to do a bit of driving which was fine for us because we enjoyed the sites along the way. We didnt travel with children but the home is stocked with families in mind. Thanks for the walking sticks! They came in handy when we walked one of the trails. We also loved the app from the property managers, as it gave us access to information about the home and also about Big Canoe. We enjoyed our stay and would book again!

Immaculate Mountain Retreat

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Little Canoe. It actually felt like home from the moment we entered the front door. Fine luxury details mixed with a rustic cabin feel made this house absolutely perfect. We booked this location due to it's proximity near the outdoor surroundings we wanted to visit. Next time, we may just book this cabin and not even leave !
