Log Cabin Across from Black Mtn and Near Story Land

Bring the whole family and enjoy everything the White Mountains have to offer while staying in this spacious yet cozy log cabin. Located just minutes from Story Land, directly across from Black Mountain Ski Area, and a short drive to several other ski resorts, this is the perfect home base for year-round adventures. North Conway is only 15 minutes away for great shopping, dining, and activities.

Set in a quiet, private location with beautiful mountain and farm views, our classic log home offers plenty of space for families and multi-generational groups, with bedrooms and bathrooms on two floors.

The family-friendly Shovel Handle Pub is right around the corner, perfect for great food and live entertainment after a day of exploring.

Perfect for our stay. Nice views of Black Mtn. Very large bedrooms with comfortable king beds. Easy access for downhill and cross country skiing. Great fireplace and huge living room accommodated 5 adults with ease. When you open the door, there's steep carpeted stairs right in front of you which is slightly awkward getting in with stuff, but apart from that excellent layout of rooms. Slightly dated interior, but very clean and functional and that worked for us, especially with skiing every day. The host was very helpful and accommodating, and very responsive. We plan to stay here next year.

Can't beat the peacefulness & view

There were 6 adults, 2 children, 1 toddler & 1 English Springer Spaniel. Plenty of space for privacy. We all loved sitting out on the front porch to relax while the kids and dog played in the spacious yard. Area is quiet with a great pub down the road in walking distance. It was our 2nd year renting here and we plan on coming back next year.

Clean, comfortable and spacious

This home was a perfect retreat for my extended family to spend the holidays together! The living room is very large with plenty of comfortable seating and a beautiful fireplace. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable with lots of fresh pillows. The kitchen has nice newer appliances, plenty of plates and cups but could use a few more items like cookie sheets and cutting boards...minor things like that. Otherwise, we had everything we needed. Most importantly to me was that the home was very clean! The hosts were very communicative, even checking in after our first night to ask if we needed anything. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to chill

Beautiful log cabin and location. Plenty of room for us 7 adults we were all very comfortable. Rooms are big and beds we all agreed were very comfortable. Coffee on the front porch was peaceful and a beautiful view. Cant wait to try it out in the winter.

Yearly White Mountain Family Getaway

This is a wonderful house for a large family(7 nights). It accommodated 6 adults, 1-infant & 2 grandchildren age 3 & 6 easily. The views and peacefulness are outstanding. We spent a lot of time on the porch. The grandchildren loved the yard. Plenty of room to run around and play with trucks/tractors. We were concerned with the hot humid summer but there are lots of windows with what seemed limitless breezes. There are fans everyone but we rarely needed them. If TV is your thing they do have TV's in all rooms with endless channels. We never had any issues but the owners reach out to check in and there is some local information attached to the refrigerator. This is a great house for large families.

My family enjoyed our stay and found the house to be just the right size for our group. One initial drawback was that the host did not allow outdoor fires nor has a fire pit. However, Katie and Ian went out of their way to get a permit so they could accommodate our request to bring a solo stove

Great kick off to Summer

Ian and Katie's cabin was perfect for our family, 6 adults 4 kids (1 through 7) and small pup. Plenty of bedrooms and room to spread out. We thoroughly enjoy sitting on front porch both in the morning and evening, very peaceful. Close to Storyland and all the great hiking trails we love. Would highly recommend this family cabin!

Our family and friends had a wonderful vacation..the cabin was perfect! Big enough for all of us to be together or find a quiet spot to be alone! The guys skied and the girls shopped…the views around the cabin were beautiful! Hoping to enjoy this spot again.

Cozy Cabin with a Great Location

We, 5 adults and 2 small dogs, stayed here for a wedding weekend. I honestly wish we had booked more nights for our trip! The house was amazing, with plenty of BIG beds, bathrooms on both floors, and a nice big kitchen to cook in. We all agreed we should rent this place again. The house is a short drive away from shopping, food, and restaurants. Hosts were wonderful to deal with as well, very nice and quick to respond if we had any questions.

Beautiful Jackson, NH Cabin

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ian and Kate's Jackson, NH cabin. Kate was incredibly responsive and understanding when we had last-minute issue come up and thought we may need to cancel. She offered us another week, but we ended up being able to keep our original reservation time. The cabin was homey and welcoming and provided a great deal of space for 6 adults and 2 dogs. We loved the family room and enjoyed gathering there, while having a fire going. We loved the area also and look forward to returning soon!

Family getaway to Story Land

The log cabin was just as listed. The beds were very comfortable and there was a lot of room for our family of seven plus two small children to spread out! The house is private with a beautiful lawn to play on. The hosts were very responsive when we needed to reach out to them. We would stay here again for our next trip to Story Land and Santa’s Village.

Awesome location in Jackson!

The home was accurately described in a quiet country location. We enjoyed hanging out in the evenings on the porch listening to the sounds of nature. Large rooms, well stocked kitchen, and plenty of space for a large group or multi-generational family. Katie responded promptly to my questions. Highly recommend.

Cosy good time

We had a relaxing and cosy time in Katie and Ian's log house. We loved the beautiful views from all the many windows. We snowshoed at nearby Jackson Ski Touring Center, did a puzzle by the fire, and cooked lots of good food in their spacious kitchen. Katie was a really helpful and friendly host. We would definitely go there again,

Mini Christmas getaway

We throughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful cabin. We were a group of nine adults and all had ample space to ourselves as well as in common areas. The home was extremely clean and stocked with everything we needed to prepare a few meals through our stay. We are already looking forward to our next stay!
