"The staff were a delight; the location, however, was in disrepair. The pool area was not maintained well; the ceiling and walls were crumbling. I think they might have been in the middle of renovating the carpet in the hallways? The carpeting was cut but there was no molding to keep the seams flat, so we tripped over the carpet multiple times and not once did any member of staff mention anything about renovation efforts. Breakfast was okay. We have stayed here in the past and had NONE of these...

"My husband and I stayed in the Wee Anchor Cottage for our 20th anniversary, and it was absolutely perfect. The cottage gave us the privacy of having our own little getaway while still enjoying all the amenities of the Anchor Inn. The property is beautifully maintained with gorgeous landscaping, charming porch seating areas, and a relaxing atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. "Excellent view of Lake Erie from room. Spacious room with separate sitting area. Only downsides meh breakfast and lots of mayflies everywhere outside. Mayflies were not a problem inside the building."

"The hotel is in an amazing location with beautiful views of the lake, the rooms and all public areas are pristine and clean, & the staff were absolutely amazing. I would not recommend eating at the restaurant, as it's quite overpriced, the menu is quite performative, and the food wasn't that great for the price paid. It is also very small & loud if the patio is not open. That said, it did not deter from how amazing the hotel is. Just find somewhere else to eat during your stay."

"My husband and I came for our anniversary weekend. We got married at Cedar Point, but wanted to find some other places and things to do in the area. Anchor was a cute little place. When we first pulled in, the first thing I noticed were the beautiful (and real) flowers outside of each room. The property appears very nicely kept. "I stayed in the last room at end of parking lot. Woken up to kid playing basketball. Not his fault. The hoop was very close to my room. There is plenty space to put that thing farther away. For me it sounded Iike the kid was bouncing the ball off the wall. A rude awakening. Fortunately l was only there for one night."

"Our room was fantastic. Complimentary beer, wine, and chocolate?? Wow! Also, the comfy couch, fireplace and big bed exceeded our expectations for our stay. The free bowling and onsite restaurant, bars and activities made the stay more fun. Food was fantastic. Staff was fantastic and so nice. Will return!!"
