It is located only around 3km south from the Pyramids of giza wich gives it a nice location to also visit Saqgara. You also don't get as much noise at night as you would do within either Cairo or further towards Giza."

For anyone going to Giza, Mazar was an exceptional, albeit short stay. The staff were some of the most pleasant, and helpful people I met in Egypt.
We only got a basic room, but even then came at a very nice quality for the price.

But very disappointed to learn that the hotel charged us (my wife and myself) 810 Egypt pounds from the airport in a shabby taxi whereas the normal price is between 150 to 350. A van for 5 people costs 400.We were planning staying for 6 nights but left the next morning. Completely unacceptable ."

We received a pleasant welcome drink upon arrival and were given a free dinner our first night that was good and filling.
