"Very rustic with a HUGE emphasis on hunting. There were bear, turkey and antlers mounted on the wall. The place was a nice size. It was nice to have the bathroom down the hall from the bedroom. The living room couches and bed were comfy. Some of the fixtures weren't quite right. The antler chandeliers had cob webs, the sink had a hole where the sprayer was supposed to go, and the outlets weren't all secure in the wall. There was a lot of junk outside the cabin and we had to use our own towels...

"This cottage was absolutely perfect for our honeymoon! It was clean, well stocked, and in a fantastic location. We loved the fall foliage, the nearby trails, and the proximity to the harbor. Ray was the ideal host with recommendations of places to go and restaurants to visit. We hope to come back in the future for an anniversary trip!"

"Our family of 5 stayed and had a very nice time. The view from the back was amazing. I wish we had more time to do things around the house instead of just going to Bar Harbor. Great, clear instructions and recommendations were left at the house. There were a lot of breakables that might need to get moved if you have little kids (our youngest is 7)."

"Very nice cottage , and clean. the Picture on your site, makes the Cottage look like it was right on the beach , which it is not. Its on a cliff, which was fine for us , but not fine for children. This is why We took 1 star away from the on line listing"

"Perfect slice of heaven! Owner super easy to deal with. Setting is amazing! Need to travel little for restaurants cause it’s away from the hustle and bustle, very quiet. Bring some food and grill and buy fresh lobsters close to cottage. "

"Wonderful place, so glad that it was exactly as described in the listing. Clean, cozy and quiet. Everything you need to cook, clean, etc was available. We spent our time relaxing, cooking the local seafood and enjoying nature. The hosts were nearby if we needed something, otherwise they respected our privacy. Great memories were made, I'm sure we'll be back again."
