"Beautiful 18th Century pub in quiet village location. Taken to room, lovely decor, big bed, bathroom was a little tired. Shower had no hot water when I tried at 4.30pm, thankfully had some the following morning. Had a wonderful night sleep, a shame some kind of breakfast is not included in the price. Welcoming staff and lovely locals. Would I stay again, yes. "

"Very noisy because of the pub below so until 23:00 loud then from 05:00 in the morning music starts again and people singing so if you want to party I guess it’s the right place but if you want to rest get yourself a proper hotel room, me personally I wouldn’t go back "

"Decent hostelry with comfortable room and good breakfast. Puzzling shortage of mains specials when we sat down to order @ 630pm for our evening meals. Hard working managers both evening and morning. "

"Certainly not as nice as the photos make out. We would not stay again and do not recommend it. Poor nights sleep for many reasons. Not a good shower. Smelly bathroom, noisy fridge, very light in room at night due to fire exit light in room ...hard pillows. Also very glad breakfast wasn't included based on what we saw. Overpriced for what it is. "

"Return visit, overnight stay to attend a funeral next morning. Checked in at 8:10pm (not a very warm welcome), only to be told the restaurant closes at 8pm. In a hotel! I asked if an exception could please be made as it was only a few minutes, and we’d been driving over 2 hours, but was told no (without even asking the kitchen) - no bar food available either. Disappointing. Also asked to complete a paper “order form” at check in for breakfast the next day. That was a first. We drove...

"Business/CPD trip. Everything i needed was on the premises. Staff on friday night were very busy, but always attend to your needs. Cottage was squeaky clean. Thank you sooo much! Lively and vibrant Pub (nice to see it so busy ☺️). Dinner and breakfast absolutely delicious. Service outstanding. Hope at some Point (er) 🐾🤩 i will have to come back. Thank you all the staff."

"Der Komfort der Zimmer ist einfach doch nützlich. Kofferbock und Garderobe mit Kleiderhaken machen es leicht Bekleidung aufzubewahren. Alle Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und bemüht. Der Koch ist hervorragend, die Küche alleine mit der guten Auswahl an nationalen und internationalen Biersorten die Wahl des Standorts wert. Wein hab ich wegen der Hitze zu Pfingsten nicht konsumiert, die Karte sah aber sehr attraktiv aus."

"Hotelzinho muito agradável com uma taberna na frente. A equipe sempre de bem humor e solicita, dão um ar bem jovem ao local. O quarto decorado simplesmente e bem confortável. Para quem tem uma criança viajando junto pode pedir uma cama extra, mas é pequena. O chuveiro muito gostoso e tudo parecia limpo e novo. Não consegui fazer a cafeteira funcionar e nem o aquecedor de toalhas. A comida muito gostosa e o café da manhã muito bem servido. Sem duvida uma excelente opção!"

With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan.
