"It is a charming hotel that makes you feel at home. There are just 16 rooms so it tends to be more intimate than standard resorts. Our room was number 9 on the superior floor reached by stairs. "Beautifully manicured grounds on arrival. Easy parking outside our cottage. Good sized bathroom with plenty of hot water and nice toiletries. Well appointed kitchenette and we had to ask for just a couple of essential items. Nice balcony surrounded by trees. "We stayed there 10 days apart, during which they changed companies. The new company makes you wear a wristband for the WHOLE stay— charging you if you take it off! There were bullet holes in the ceiling above the bed, and the ceiling tiles in the bathroom had mold. The surfaces you touch were clean and the bed was comfortable enough (not great). "Room was very clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, it was included in my booking and was plenty sufficient. There was plenty of parking at the hotel and my disabled guest was accommodated well. The venue has live entertainment on Thursdays which was well attended. It would have been perfect if there was a pool. Towels could have been cleaner as they had stains on them and looked yellowed."
