Gretels Haus - Perfect to Your Next Getaway to the Mountains!

Welcome to Gretels Haus! When it is time to get away from it all, make this gem your home away from home. Whether you are joined by family or friends, it is the perfect mountain getaway for good times and lasting memories. Nestled on top of Blueberry Hill this cabin has it all – hot tub, wood burning fireplace, fire pit, outdoor gas grill, fully equipped kitchen, king and queen size beds. And now...

Walk in and relax in the vaulted ceiling living room with a comfy leather couch and matching chair, and of course the wood burning fireplace. The smart tv over the fireplace includes free YouTube TV for all your favorite channels. There's also a DVD player. The open main level floor plan includes kitchen, dining and living areas.

The kitchen is equipped with stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker (drip and Keurig style) and toaster. The cabinets are stocked with all the cookware and dinnerware you will need for any meal or snack. The cooking utensils and flatware are also
provided. The handmade wood dining table has room for four to six to sit comfortably for meals or game night. There are lots of board games from which to choose. Just outside on the back deck is a large hot tub overlooking the woods just waiting for the morning wake-up dip or the evening soak after a day of mountain hiking!

The main floor bedroom features a queen bed, a Smart TV, a DVD player and a ceiling fan. Just a few steps away, the downstairs bathroom has a walk-in shower. Upstairs is the master king bedroom with a smart tv, a DVD player and a ceiling fan. The master bath features a shower/tub combo. Look over the railing to the living area below. Enjoy a relaxing get-away at Gretels Haus!

• Minimum Age Requirement: Gretels Haus is available to families or guests who are at least 21 years old.
• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: The road to the cabin is dirt and gravel. Road not suitable for low profile vehicles.
• Security Disclosure: There is a ring camera facing the parking area and one on the front doorbell at Gretels Haus.
• Pet: Gretels Haus is Not pet-friendly. No pets allowed.
• Location: 5 miles to downtown Helen.

Anniversary

Those in charge of the property were very helpful and courteous. The woman we spoke with brought us a bottle of champagne when she learned it was a trip for our anniversary. Then when I left my new shoes at the cabin the called asking about if I was missing them and arranged to have them sent back to me! I loved this cabin and will always have a good memory of our time there! We even plan to return to the same place one day!

Perfect location

Property management was excellent and very responsive. When the coffee pot was not working, they had a new one at the front door within 20 minutes. Could use some updates as the property is aging but I would stay here again.

Beautiful, great experience.

Really nice cabin. Great location, peaceful and beautiful scenery. The cabin was clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed for cooking etc. would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay at our cabin just outside Helen. The property was spotless and the property managers were extremely helpful and courteous. Would definitely stay there again in an instant and would love to go back.

Off the beatin' path, but close to it all.

Overall a good stay. Arrived late the first evening. Hot tub appeared to be off, no power to the display panel, and not very warm. We spoke with the property manager, and someone was there within the hour. He was able to reset the breaker under the deck, and back in business. Not sure if power went out recently, and caused that?? Able to enjoy it that evening after a nice hike. The maint guy also showed us how to use the main TV (not user friendly) YouTube TV is provided with the cabin, but we didn't see any notes indicating that. Once we figured that out, we were able to get local channels and more!. Probably go for a little updating here and there in the near future, but overall the property was well maintained, and clean! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would come back. Cabin is in a very quiet area, with only a few cabins back there. Could barely see them through the trees, even with little/no leaves on the trees in wintertime. Nice easy access with a big deck on the side and back.

Great town, beautiful cabin

The cabin was adorable! Exactly as pictured and super cozy. My only complaint is that the floors were not clean (which I wear socks 24/7 especially not in my home so it’s not a big deal) as my friend splashed some water on the floor and went to wipe it with a paper towel and it came back a dirty brown and the previous guest left some underwear in the bathroom and it was still in there when we checked in.

Another fantastic visit!

We've made it an annual tradition to come to Helen during the fall. We love hiking, sitting by the bonfire and enjoying the hot tub on cooler nights! This cabin had a fire pit and very nice clean hot tub, and maybe a mile down the street was Unicoi and Anna Ruby Falls, so we had easy access to hiking as well! As a bonus we were extremely close to downtown Helen for lunches/dinners and shopping. The staff checked in several times to ensure we had a fantastic visit!

Loved the cabin

The cabin was very clean and exactly as shown on website. Staff was very friendly and very helpful and it was close to Anna Ruby Falls and Unico State Park. My only complaint would be that the hot tub did not work. When we arrived, we noticed that it had a flow error and called it in right away. We left for dinner and came back and we could hear that it was going again. Later that night we got the same error flow message and they sent someone out. The gentleman was very nice and helpful but it was not able to be fixed. I was disappointed because the hot tub was the main reason we booked there. Overall, I would definitely stay with this company again and loved the cabin and location.
