"We stayed here for a wedding in Cuckfields and this hotel was in a very good location for this. The hotel itself is very nice, being a lovely old building. The room was a bit small for two people and the bathroom did feel a bit run down/shabby. Also - while I appreciate it was a bit of an unprecedented situation, we were there in one of the heatwaves this summer and really struggled with the heat. Given the age of the building, I would not expect AC, but the fans provided were tiny so...

"Beautiful historic place to stay, situated in a picture postcard village. We loved staying here and found it very practical given we were in the area for a music festival. The room was very comfortable, amenities very good and the staff were extremely helpful in helping us check in early! Breakfast is made fresh for each guest when they book breakfast and the pub's setting is lovely with all the original features of the coaching inn. We stayed during some very hot days so had to have the windows...

"The room was small. Only small semi-circular shelves either side of the bed. Not bedside tables. We only had one bath towel and one bath sheet between us. There were no complimentary toiletries. Tea, coffee and milk and fresh mugs not replaced during our 3 night stay. There were no curtains and a blind that did not keep out the light. "Great staff lovely homely feeling."

"Pequeno hotel familiar, inserido numa localidade com História e muito encanto. Os quartos são relativamente grandes, no entanto com pouca arrumação. Cama pouco confortável. O facto de ter um bar/pub localizado no rés do chão, leva a que o barulho possa ser incomodativo para os mais sensíveis (felizmente chovia e raras foram as ocasiões). Serviço de quarto praticamente inexistente. Pequeno almoço apesar de pouco diversificado, com o suficiente para enfrentar o dia. Pessoal simpático o suficiente...

"Lovely little hotel. Food is excellent!! Recommend the fish and chips!! Nice choice of breakfast, cooked fresh to order. Lovely staff and friendly locals. Will definitely be staying again!! 10/10"
