The Captains Landing is an amazing new home completed in early 2020 and located in the beautiful West Side Cottages development. The Captains Landing is located directly on Little Lagoon and provides guests with awesome lagoon water views. Just a short walk across the street, you'll be on the beach of the Gulf of Mexico. Four bedrooms give plenty of space to spread out and the high-end finishes will make this a luxurious home for your vacation. The subdivision has its own private pool for relaxing. It's the perfect location for anyone wanting to kayak, and the shallow waters of Little Lagoon Pass are ideal for the little ones to play in the water. Enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets from your private deck. The Captains Landing is a wonderful place to make memories that will last a lifetime.


Things to Know
Free WiFi

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ā€˜Yesā€™ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 4 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the ā€œDamage Waiverā€). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Easy access in and out of the property. Unlocking/locking the front door is difficult (especially the first couple times). Lovely view off the balcony. We were there for a volleyball tournament; it was nice to be a little bit away from town, but not too far.

The property was spacious and clean. Great rooms and bathrooms. Except the door on the Jack and Jill bathroom was broken. Needed more household items. No extra garbage bags, no salt or pepper, paper towels. Needed beach items, no chairs or towels. Great location for beach access. Overall, it was a great place and a quiet location.

Great Home

Everything was great from check-in to check-out. We had enough space for everyone to move around comfortably. The children really enjoyed the pool and the easy access to the beach. We will be back and booking the same home.

Staff didnā€™t respond for says!

Overall it was good, I wish our porch was facing the sun so we could enjoy the outside more as it was a little chilly. The house was clean except the floors, instead of vacuuming they needed a good sweeping and mopping! Communication with management and staff was almost non existent! We didnā€™t have garbage bags, dishwasher soap, or a stopper for the sink so we always had to use the dishwasher! When I texted the manager it took days for their team to respond!

Beautiful

This is by far one be the most beautiful places to stay. So clean and homey feeling, dreaded having to leave! Will def stay again! Only problem is, is that it is not a 4 min walk to beach, maybe 15 min! The beach access is roughly 1/4-1/2 mile down road. Other than that perfect!

We loved the unit, great size, great location! Beach was a short walk on a safe trail for the kids. The view was wonderful! Socks for fishing were used daily, great amenity. Trail behind the house was great for daily walks and bike rides. The units are close together so youā€™re close to your neighbor if youā€™re on the deck. The cushions on the dining chairs are stained and quite gross, the couches also have stains and seemed dirty. Floors were so dirty- we donā€™t wear shoes inside and my kids feet were black on the bottom shortly after we arrived. The bathroom showers had mold on the wall and the door. I asked to have them cleaned- we arrived Sunday- they finally came to bleach the showers on Friday- we left Saturday. Floor was never cleaned. Fridge made an odd humming noise halfway through our stay- also not fixed even though we were told the local crew would be out. Overall we were happy with the location and the unit! Just hope for a much cleaner experience.

4 bedroom condo close to beach

Our family had a wonderful time at this condo in Gulf Shores. Great 4 bedroom, 4 bath home within walking distance to beach (best way is to take the path in the back of the condo). Home has a Keurig and a regular coffee maker. It listed coffee maker on the site but specific. I didn't see an iron or ironing board in the condo. Be prepared to walk upstairs to the condo and inside the condo for the bedrooms. All 4 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms are upstairs (2 bedrooms share a Jack & Jill bathroom). The other 2 bedrooms have a private bathroom. The 4th bathroom is downstairs with a tub/shower combo. The only other suggestion I would have would be a combo entry door instead of keys to get into the condo. Overall great time and rating on this condo.

Great location on the bay

Only problem was the door- once I found the instructions on how to lock it I was pleased. The door instructions should be further up the list instead of after the beach flag info. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with a customer service rep and putting in a maintenance request thinking the lock was broken before finally figuring it out.

Until we meet again

We loved this property! We stayed in a similar 3 bedroom last year, but this 4 bedroom house was perfect! It was clean, it had everything we needed, and itā€™s in a quiet neighborhood. The walk to the beach is worth being away from the crowds. The walking trails and piers are so nice for morning and evening walks. My husband and kids enjoyed some fishing, my toddler loved taking an afternoon walk. Book this place, you wonā€™t regret it!

The cottage was spotless, and its design helped us keep it clean. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. I particularly enjoyed the fact that we were 13+ blocks west of the main intersection, so there were no crowds, no big stores - - just white sand beaches and families enjoying themselves on the Gulf. The cottage itself has a lovely lagoon view, and feels quiet and isolated, until you look to either side and realize how close the other cottages are. In any event, we had a great vacation and would highly recommend this specific cottage.

Beautiful Home on the Lagoon

We enjoyed our two week stay at this beautiful house on the lagoon in Gulf Shores AL. The home had everything we could need and the location was perfect for us. We traveled with our dog and this home is directly on the walking path. It was a short easy walk to the beach also! We rode our bikes to town and to the State Park. Thanks so much for making our stay so comfortable. There are steps to get into the home, as there are with almost all the homes in the area.

This is a very nice, new, comfortable and ideal location. It had everything we needed. The beach is so easy to get to. It has a great view of the bay. The walking paths are wonderful! Pet friendly was an absolute plus!!! Our family enjoyed it. The management team is very responsive and helpful. The furniture is very comfortable and the house isnā€™t over decorated with tons of clutter and all the things! I greatly appreciate this! You might consider bringing a couple extra blankets as the management company coverlets are very thin. wifi was a tad spotty at times. But overall these are only things I can think of that would help someone staying there in the future. We had a great stay and appreciated all of it.

Beautifully Amazing!!

This property completely exceeded my expectations! When you first turn into the cottage community, it is extraordinarily clean and very inviting. The house was even better! Beautifully decorated, open but allowed privacy, and the views of the bay were amazing! THe short walk to the beach was relaxing with an easy path to get there. I appreciate the extra amenity of allowing pets with a deck equipped with a gate for our fur family to enjoy the beautiful surroundings with us.

Well equipped condo. I do recommend you bring some extra bedding, blankets, comforter, etc. the ones provided are minimal but not unexpected. No other complaints at all. Itā€™s a great location, quiet and very clean. We enjoyed it throughly.

Perfect getaway!

My mother, dog, three daughters (11, 14, and 15) and I stayed here and absolutely LOVED the place! The home is stunningly beautiful, adorably decorated, impeccably clean, and had a quiet and gorgeous view of the lagoon. The walk to the beach was perfect for us (a little far for my aging mom, but not too bad). The space is so nice in the house allowing each of us some peaceful time when needed or on rainy days. Any questions we had were immediately answered, the pool is nice and not too crowded, and the complex is just perfect. I enjoyed being just far enough out of the crowded area of Gulf Shores, which was also great considering the cross walk to the beach is at a less busy and smaller part of the road. We are already planning our return to this unit for next year!

Absolutely gorgeous

This property was amazing for our family of 8. We got married on the beach & this was perfect for our parents & grandparents to join us. The house is clean, beautifully decorated & has legit everything youā€™d ever need while on vacation. Both the beach & pool were just a short walk & has amazing views of the lagoon from the balcony. We enjoyed the walking path & boardwalks with our 10lb dog. The only negative thing Iā€™d have to say is the amount of stairs (20 from carport to balcony & 20 from kitchen to bedrooms). We had 3 elderly people & 1 pregnant woman with us & they found it extremely difficult to climb the stairs every day multiple times. If stairs are an issue for you I would not recommend this place. If not, I highly recommend! Overall, we would stay here again!
